    Tried (again) to locate the recurring oil leak. Gave up and booked it into the garage near work. Hurt my pride a little, but I'm sick of lying underneath it in the cold haha.

    Replaced the CCM and still no joy :( Can't get my head around this now, isnt that the only part that has anything to do with the remote locking? Only thing I can think of now is to try a different laptop.

    It's a B6 with a flip key. Tried all that yes. The other thing I've noticed, is when I reset it then check in measuring blocks, it still shows keys assigned to 1 & 2. Also, I dug out the CCM and there doesn't appear to be any water damage or anything.

    It's not the immobiliser chip that needs pairing, just the remote.

    Hi guys. Been trying to programme a new key as mine dies within a couple of days. I can reprogramme the one I have with VCDS. But when I try to programme the new key it doesn't recognise it. I've tried 2 different keys now, one brand new and one used, and still no luck. Any ideas?

    Have done. All looks fine. Buttons seem to press and pop out again as they should. I've bought a new key now, was hoping to just swap the blade over from the broken key but realised you need a 2 keys to programme it :(

    I've had my A4 for about a month now. Key didn't work when I got it, changed the batteries and synced it, then it worked fine for about 3 weeks. Then stopped. Changed them again and it's lasted 2 days and about 3 uses before dying again. Is there anything that could cause this or is the key...

    I imagine mine is in the toolbox... just a shame the toolbox isn't in the car! I've managed to get one of them out, and got replacements, just not had a chance to do the rest yet.

    Good evening. I'm hoping he replace the stereo in my B6 with a double DIN satnav unit. It currently has the symphony 6 CD changer, so I believe I don't have to mess about moving the HVAC controls? But what adapters will I need? Does the symphony have external amplifiers?
