I sold my 8y s3 to sort my mortgage and once that’s done I need another car and just can’t decide. I was hoping to get an 8v cheap for now but they are still a lot and I also don’t really want to pay circa £20k for a normal 8y when I’ve come from an s3. It’s a hard one
I thought the 8v was meant to be alot better interior quality wise? I do like the look of the 8v but I’m not sure £16500 for a 2018 with nearly 60k is good. They all seem to be about the price though
For example my local Audi has a 2018 black edition 1.5 tfsi for £15.500 with 58k miles. But you can get a newer 8y for only about £1k more. Is it pointless getting the 8v at current prices?
Also, my local Audi has a 2020 35 8v black edition saloon with around 27k miles for £20k. Is that an ok price? I do like the 8v but it’s only about £4k off an edition 1 8y price wise. So not sure if it’s over priced? Audi are usually accurately priced though aren’t they.
I’ve just sold my 8y s3 and there’s a 67 plate s3 black edition for sale near me with 49k miles for £20k. Are these generally ok? Or at that miles is there lots of problems or servicing needed? I assume Haldex service but that’s not too bad to get filter done?
I test drove one but I was a guest user on the mmi so it only went up to dynamic mode, it didn’t show dynamic plus mode on the screen. I had it in dynamic in manual mode on a test drive but it shifted up itself like the pre fl does.
I did look at a3 but the payments weren’t that much less than the s3, so didn’t really seem worth it. Also slightly off topic but what do people think of the felt trim in the fl s3? As previous ones had silver plastic but they now have a felt like fabric around the mmi screen and glovebox etc...
I think my s3 does that anyway though? Where it charges the battery also when coasting. Audi also called me today about some special they have on for car upgrades, so I’ll see what they can do about the fl s3 out of interest
Thinking of maybe trading my s3 for a normal a3 as I don’t use it much but I seem to remember issues/common faults on the early circa 2020 a3s in this forum. Is there certain years I should avoid etc? Or are they all the same? And what’s the best spec normal a3? As lots are saying s line or...
It’s so annoying and ruining my experience of the car. It’s probably something fairly simple too. I just don’t know why it’s only really the passenger front door area that does this. When I go round the areas touching bits I can’t see what’s causing it. It also probably is worse when the car is...
I seem to be getting a mixture of creaks from the passage side. One i think is the silver plastic bit above the glovebox where it says Quattro on the s3s or Audi on s3. One maybe from the plastic on door card (front by window air vent/door mirror area part creaks a bit when I press on it so...
I put £5k down. I thought Audi work it all out so that the customer will have equity left over so they can get them into a new car each time? As if there’s never any money left over to trade in, most people won’t get another pcp
Ah. Yeah I was just hoping Audi knew what they are doing with the figures so I’ve got a few grand equity when it comes to my balloon payment of £25k in October.
My balloon payment in October is £25k so I’m just following the current values to get an idea of how much equity I’ll have to trade in or not. I was hoping for at least £3k but it’s hard to tell
