Thanks for that. Good to see a detailed and honest feedback on this.
I am currently considering this for mines: https://www.remapper.co.uk/tools/audi/audi-a4-2-0-tdi-multitronic-150-bhp-diesel-2013-2015/
It is a full remap by Quantum Tuning and can be done yourself. From what I have read you...
Hopefully won't hijack the post but do you have any issues or concerns with the DTUK box? Guessing not if it has been fitted for 4 years.
I have been considering one for a while now. Also considering a stage 1 remap but like the idea of being able to remove the box. My car has the multitronic...
Yeah they can. One of the few car niggles that has bothered Mrs F as much as me.
Could be a bit of negative placebo but the car seems increasingly less composed when cruising along the same roads at a constant speed.
Had it just over a year. No warranty left. Had the gearbox oil replaced (was due a change) earlier this year by my usual local indy.
Not sure the vibration is related to the gearbox as it happens in any gear (P,N,D,S) although I don't know the detailed workings of the auto box.
First Audi I...
Didn't manage to get that video taken but when driving the car today I noted a few other points that could be related.
When switching from D to R it can often be quite clunky/jerky when moving off. Most common when changing and starteingto reverse into my drive which is at an incline.
Also car...
Will get a video taken tomorrow. Did a visual on it while revving and engine does move back towards the driver but to my untrained eye it doesn't look excessive. Did see a couple of hoses/pipes close to the engine vibrating quite heavily and quickly but when I video them it doesn't show very...
Old thread resurrection but top marks to jakm15. Had a front lower arm replaced recently and the creak is now gone. Blissfully quiet now, amazing how much a creak makes you dislike a good car.
Possibly a placebo effect but the front does feel more planted when cornering.
Car has done 50k miles. Just 1 owner before me.
Car is a standard 2.0 TDI 150bhp Black Edition S-Line.
I have had it a year and pretty sure the vibration has been there since i bought it. Its not excessive or aggressive but definitely there. I just thought it was maybe normal with the auto...
Just for anyone looking at this at a later date.
I ended up needing an O/S front lower suspension arm replaced and since then the creaking has stopped.
Hi Folks,
I have had a constant gentle, fast, vibration through my entire car for some time now. This happens at all times - in idle (any gear of the auto box) and continues when driving. The speed of the vibration doesn't noticeably change at all.
The vibration can cause the sort of white...
Nope, not yet. Haven't had a chance to get the car jacked up and take a look myself yet. Issue is gradually getting worse so something has to give, hopefully before my patience which is wearing thin with it.
Thanks Rob.
My only fear now lies around the limits of the Multitronic box. Most stage one maps claim to take the torque to between 390 and 410Nm. Most sources state the Multritronic is only good for 400Nm. Waiting for an answer from Celtic Tuning regarding this and any experience they have.
Old thread resurrection time.
I have the same car and same engine and I am also considering a remap after previously owning a Leon Cupra (240bhp) and missing the power.
Have you had any issues since remap that could be linked to the remap? Is yours a manual or auto?
Thanks.
I have the 150bhp 2.0 TDI engine in my 2015 A4 and have been considering a stage 1 map. My only concern is putting more stress on the Multritonic gear box but I am not sure whether my concerns are valid.
Anyone got previous experience, good or bad?
Thanks for keeping us updated.
Hopefully the creak stays away. Looks like I'll be getting the trolley Jack, axle stands and a tub of grease out at the weekend.
What grease is recommended for this?
Mines seemed to start after being in to have the wheels rebalanced. No idea if it was jacked one corner at a time or not though as I wasn't there.
I wondered if something just hasn't reseated correctly after having all weight off the suspension.
Thanks, got some 3800 in my shopping basket along with a 3" backing plate and pads to go with. This car has more awkward areas than my last one.
The pads I have are pretty non-descript but I have a black waffle finishing pad, yellow polishing pad and white compounding pad which came with the...
Not changed anything yet. Hoping to get a look at the ARB links soon but would have expected the garage to spot any issues with these when they inspected it.
