Hi all,
I have a 2010 Audi A3 2.0TDI (CFFB) black edition
Recently my car has given me some very poor mpg, i think the DPF is near the end of its live, alongside a dodgy thermostat. But at nearly 169k miles is it worth changing those parts? The thermostat has never read 90 degrees celsius for...
70mph on the dot, no aggressive driving
seems like a mission to hit 500 before the fuel reserve light goes off! :(
my coolant gauge never hits 90 degrees. But a car with 163k is there any point in getting this changed for a few miles lol
2.0tdi cffb 2010 sportback
157k! Still returning 55+ mpg daily. 2.0TDI CFFB is one mighty engine.
Got a few noises at 0-10mph. might be OSF, NSF bearings. How much would this set me back chaps
Recently my car went to my local Audi dealership to get one of the exhaust gas sensors replaced. For anyone who allows Audi to wash and vacuum their car, say no. They use a big brush all over the car and squeegee at the end! Scratch central!!
So I asked my mechanic - he said the thermostat was slightly sticking. But this isn't related to DPF regenerations as that's different. Thermostat is around £300, 2 hours labour and parts around £100.
Fairly low mileage, be careful of the EGR valve failing on you. As 2 years after the update...
In regards to the thermostat postponing DPF regens, i'll ask the mechanics that tomorrow as I am not exactly sure. What's the mileage on your motor pal?
That is a good point Norris. To be totally honest I would rather spend an extra £200 and change my discs and pads, then spend £100 on a dodgy...
Hi pal, mines a 2010 Audi A3 2.0TDI. In regards to the thermostat, I’m probably looking at another £100 so I might leave it for the time being. I think £500 is enough - as I may need my brake fluid changing this service.
so the internal temperature on the oil section of the cars computer says...
Hi chaps,
i got a quote to change my Cambelt + waterpump, oil + oil filter + fuel filter change for around £500 is that a good price? Local vw specialist
Hi, I've noticed my thermostat rarely reaches 90° even though I do long drives, and most my journeys are above 20 mins or so. However this doesn't have any effect on the drive of the car itself (e.g. turbo still boosts, car drives fine) but would I benefit from getting a genuine thermostat put...
Good to hear! I choose against a remap as I will most likely go for a faster car when I upgrade. Not doing as much miles as I used to, so having to clean the DPF every few weeks. Nearly on 150k :Black B7:
