I was looking at these last year, loads of sellers around on eBay. Most don't list the RS4 as compatible, but handful did so I was hoping the others had perhaps just missed the RS models off their list.
Anyway, they don't fit. The width is fine but they're a lot taller than...
Thanks! Yeah I'm sure you're right that it's down to the internal hardware rather than any lack of cameras or sensors on the outside. Shame, but yeah I agree that's more a cool feature than actually being of any use.
I noticed in an RS6 advert, their 360 camera can do a 3D augmented view. Does this take any more hardware or cameras that we don't have on the 360 cameras on the RS4?
Can this be coded into the car to be enabled? I presume not?
There's a video here where the wheels look like as you describe. I agree, I think they look better than the black.

Wow! Where did those carbon parts come from? I'm specifically interested in the piece right at the bottom of your photo, the bit that you can see when the bonnet is closed on a B9.5.

I've had it into the garage and they replaced one of the actuators. It seemed to be the source of the noise but they're a sealed unit so there's not much you can do with them. The guys said that once it was separated from the spring that it turns, it...
Wow, great find on that document, thanks! The audio in the video linked to the document sounds exactly the same as the audio in my video I posted at the top. I'm amazed that they're claiming that awful noise is normal though. The ones on my RS3 never made any noise like that, their operation was...
I ended up keeping this RS3 (the ex-demo one from the OP), for 9 years and it gave me next to no trouble at all :)

Some pictures of my 2021 RS4, Carbon Black. These are from the Hardknott Pass, up in the Lake District. Crazy road for an RS4, I think I averaged about 15mph! It's very picturesque though so I had to keep stopping to take photos.
I was just switching from Dynamic to Comfort in the Drive Settings while it was idling.
Yeah, I do think it's a lubricant thing which is why it's so frustrating that I can't quite get to it unless I ramp it up and drop the exhaust a bit.
I do wonder if the dealer steam cleaned the underside...
This dude's demonstrating fixing it on an S4, but the units on the RS4 are different, it's not a spring like that

Anyone had to deal with this? I've read lots about it across all sorts of makes and models, but it's usually not quite the same unit as is on this B9.5 RS4 (which I think is 8S0133246D).
It looks like it might be a case of either stretching the spring...
I find the auto-dim mirrors just go too dark until all I can see behind me is some lights and nothing else. The windscreen doesn't dim of course, so your eyes don't get chance to get used to the difference when you're looking ahead and then glance into the mirror. I don't have a problem with the...
Great, thanks for the info.
In Auto Trans I can only see "Launch control counter-upshift 1-2", "Launch control counter-upshift 2-3", "Launch control counter-upshift 3-4", but they're all zero which seemed unlikely for a 3 year old car that been owned by 2 people before me!
Shame about the...
In various threads people have mentioned VCDS codings for specific things, but are these collated anywhere in a sticky FAQ? I've been trying to do 3 things with my B9.5 RS4 and failed to figure out how to do any of them. I want to
* Manually open & close the exhaust valves, preferably with the...
Thanks chaps! It's definitely got carbon in the bits its supposed to have along the front even though it doesn't show up so well in that photo. It was just that extra bit that's a shame it's not. It's unclear to me how big that part actually is because when the bonnet is up you can see that it...
