    Look tidy, i have a 170 tdi quattro which is mapped... I still get high 50's on a long run, anything between 40-50 on work journeys which is mostly fast A roads. If you're thinking remap then the DPF should go too..

    Go out to your car and measure them. Once you know what size discs they are buy the relevant pads to suit.

    288mm or 312mm not sure which. Neither are expensive. I replaced my 312 discs and pads for under £200

    Few questions...

    Most likely the motor. Easy to replace if you want to. circa £50-60 for the motor. I just removed mine and blanked it with glass bung.

    Not sure if fouryoghurts was trying to be clever by writing a conflicting answer then immediately deleting it. Rhyso - I shall be going to see my friendly VAG mechanic this week to try and get some diagnosis. Thanks for your reply.
