Update: Took the car to the Fort Collins Audi dealership. They said they'd take a look for ~150.00. Ended up costing $225.00. All that was fixed was the power steering. Took the car to an independent mechanic. He plugged in one harness he found unplugged and VOILA! - all issues resolved. Back to...
Gave up waiting for counseling and advice and took 'er top the dealer. Service writer explained the wires were part of the main harness and there wasn't a plug and play replacement. So they spliced the wires back together.
How did they get broken? Bunnies! I better replace that missing splash...
Changed the oil. Wow was it ever black. First time since buying the car a year ago. Changed the air cleaner element. Wow was it crusted with dirt and plant detritus. Couldn't find the spark plugs to change them, but have figured out where they are hiding :)
Jacked up the car to get under there...
Front left lower engine bay is a wire harness with a couple connectors on either end that somehow got crushed and torn. How can I find a part number to order a replacement? The front most end has an orange connector. The wires within are small gauge with green plastic insulation. HTH
