Plymouth Audi have been great for me so far. It went in for rusty rear callipers and I thought I might have a battle to get them to do anything. Far from it, they couldn’t have been more apologetic and sorted it without any fuss. Very impressed by their customer service to date.
I do all town driving and country roads in Devon and I’m averaging 33mpg. In the morning going to work at 5:30 I get up to 40mpg, on the way home at 14:30 it’s down to around 28mpg. My average speed in the morning is 30mph and on the way home around 24mph. I guess London is crawling along so...
Not bothered myself, I drive on poor country roads in Devon and the sills, wings and doors are showing no signs of stones throwing up. Keep your money.
I had very similar happen a couple of days in a row. Got home after driving it for 35 minutes, put it in R and it stalled with the manual restart message. Was going to let the dealer know but it hasn’t done it since and I’ve clocked up another 2k Miles. Not much help sorry but I’ll be interested...
An update on this. Took the car into Plymouth Audi today and they couldn’t have been more helpful. The service advisor had a quick look and agreed this shouldn’t happen on a low mileage car so they are going to treat, spray and lacquer both rear callipers. Car booked in for the 25th. Result.
Because it’s 4 months old and the zinc coating shouldn’t have failed this early. If it was on 50 or 60k miles then yes I’d do it but I’ve got 3 callipers which are perfect and one which is rusty...when it shouldn’t be. Like I said, the wife’s fiat is better than this!
I’ve been using Bilt Hamber Auto Wheels which shouldn’t cause this. I don’t use it every time normally, just a spray of auto foam had been enough every other wash but now with the rusting I’m using it more often.
Maybe so but it’s gone like this after a couple of thousand miles which in imo is pretty poor quality. The other side looks like new and from my experience if you keep on top of cleaning them they should last for tens of thousands of miles. The wife’s fiat 595 callipers look better than this one...
One of my rear callipers is really rusty already 4 1/2 months in. All the others are ok so I’m assuming it’s a manufacturing/finishing fault and Audi will sort it out for me. The others look like new as I keep them very clean.
Sent the pictures to Plymouth Audi and waiting for a response. My...
No, has happened the odd time probably 3 or 4 times in 4 1/2 months but not enough to bother me. I think mine may have been because I have a boot liner and it had moved slightly when it was new so might have interfered with the latching but haven’t had i happen for a while now. Sounds like an...
The 2.0 engine is quite quick but the A6 is a big car and heavy so it isn’t going to set your world alight in performance or handling terms.
I guess the question is, what do you want from the car?
I’ve got the avant Quattro tfsi in Sline trim and it does exactly what I want, it’s very...
All modern cars are pretty dull to be honest as the driving experience is sanitised by modern engineering, brand doesn’t matter much. Recently sold an M2 which was really competent and quick but never set my world on fire. Great handling and extremely quick just predictable and lacking driving...
Tested my water and it’s 40ppm. Low although I still get water spots but nothing like when I lived in Northamptonshire. Going to order a Di vessel for the convenience of not bothering to dry.
Just ordered the prozor, £9.99 if you buy direct from the seller on amazon. Looking forward to seeing what my reading is. Then I’ll probably invest in a filter, soft water area so the resin should last a fair while.
