It's a bit of a rip that though right... I'm sure I read that the car knows fully where it is in the World for other services, so having nav disabled if all the hardware is installed seems a bit mean.
Exactly this mate from my experience now. The circle inside the speedometer showing the distance to a junction, and slightly more in the way of road lines. Does this for me when using Google Maps on CarPlay. Nothing changing in the main VC display though. Seen a few different messages I hadn't...
4398 installed...
Thought I'd drop a little update in here in case anyone else is giving it a go. Remarkably simple in the end, and without problem.
Car powered-on, but I don't think it needs to be "started"... It's kinda blurry now depending the powertrain. I just got in and hit the power...
Just been trying it now mate, but both the MHI3_ER_AU_P4364 and MHI3_ER_AU_P4398 aren't recognised. Both have "Data" and "Meta" folders, but no index or metadata file in the root. I don't know if that's actually needed, but feels like it might be?

Not yet mate - ordered a USB-C memory stick off the Amazon today, didn't have one to now. Will give it a try out over the weekend I think. How long did it take to complete?
Hi there all,
noticed the last couple or few weeks that when the radio is on (with DAB stations that broadcast additional info like song names and such) info is displayed in the on the main MMI screen but not on the virtual cockpit display. Looks like Gracenotes, assuming it is that driving it...
Hi there all - slightly left-field question this one...
After many years of incident-free motoring about a month ago my A3 was hit outside my house; some damage to the near-side wing and bumper, whoever did it clearly just drove off. It went into the bodyshop under an insurance claim and came...
Heya mate - I saw a [can't remember the exact model] on the back of a transported on the M1 on Friday with a new badge. Very much in the current fashion across the motor industry I thought. Flat, plastic, cheap-looking. Wasn't impressed.
