Good day Audi folk,
I was in the process of upgrading my two side mount intercooler on my 2007 Audi A4 with a single larger (and more efficient) OEM front mount intercooler when I ran into some hose issues.
I have since found a supplier that has all the bends that I need, which left me with...
Hi all,
My audi is approaching its next service and I’m just looking for some advice.
I am close to the 220k mark and in all honesty I would love to see 400k one day. So what should I look out for beyond what is recommended for each service interval? I mean oil, filters, belts are pretty...
I had to drive for about a week for the dpf light to stay off, that's normal don't stress about it. Mapping it out (aka doing a dpf delete) is not an easy task. I had to change tuners because the first guy that mapped my car just couldn't get it right. Limp mode every now and then due to "broken...
Same thing happened to me, thought replacing the oil level sensor would fix it. At the moment I just take out the dipstick and put it back in (that keeps the light off for a while). Will replace the sensor with the next service. Did you get an OEM sensor?

I saw a tuning company advertising carbon cleaning for TFSI engines. I must admit the photos of buildup around the valves were insane!
Do diesels also suffer from carbon buildup around the valves or intake manifold? I know the ERG gets clogged up pretty easily, but you can just block that off...
HID kits are cheap, but it is very frustrating for oncoming traffic. Most elegant solution is to get a kit where you fit a projector to concentrate the light on the road. Here's a link with a tutorial video of how to install...
If you want to keep it stock, try locating a BorgWarner importer. The 170PD uses the BV43. If you want to go big turbo, the Garrett GT2260 is an absolute beast, well known to cope with high boost (so even if you don't do an aggressive tune at low boost, it is a very reliable turbo).

If I'm not changing my map, ie keep boosting the same will a bigger comp wheel change spool characteristics? Wont the billet wheel also make the turbo more robust or is the shaft the weak point?

Good day my fellow Audi enthusiasts!
I have a 2.0 TDI 170PD on which I have done a DPF delete and software. Running about 210HP, I'm enjoying every bit of it. Won't say I'm looking for more power (just too much hassle to get more power from these engines).
Someone approached me and said I must...
The sound of the car will change. I like it, but just take note of it. You need to do a DPF delete on the remap otherwise you'll be stuck with a warning on the cluster. My suggestion is to remove dpf completely and replace it with a downpipe that has tap in points for the sensors. You can just...
I've tried my best to find the max capacity of the injectors. Best info I could find was a bloak who managed to get 300HP from them. They are not mod-friendly, won't recommend playing with the nozzles. Check out Darkside Development if you are looking for bolt-on kits or ProfiTurbo for a GTB2260...
I'd say replace the two side mount ICs with a decent front mount IC (won't be too expensive). Just a word of caution: my hex shaft in the oil pump wore out at 180 000 kms. Turbo ceased as a result. Have it checked when you are approaching high mileage its not a pleasant experience. I replaced my...
If you're looking for powerrrr go the GTB2260 route. Not cheap though, will have to do clutch as well. WMI also a pretty decent investment

I had an interesting issue with mine, the temp sonsor at the turbo got busted and it did not throw out an error. Our symptoms dont sound exactly similar, but maybe have a look at temps during startup. My egt was 400 degC at startup (which is nonsense). Will be an easy fix if thats your prob as...
