    I thought it looked plastic too but someone made a video of swapping it out and theirs was metal. Maybe they upgraded theirs to a metal one. That's a good point, I'll probably keep topping up coolant until I have spare time to work on it, it's not leaking too much atm. Thanks!

    I think they're metal pipes but that's gonna be one long and painful job with trying to gain access. Could I seal it from outside as a temporary fix until I have time off work to work on it? Or maybe one of those stop leak things that go in the expansion tank?

    Cheers I'm going to change my wheel bearings at the front for good measure and if that doesn't cure it guess the tyres will have to go. Shame though as I just had them last year. Can't imagine how they seem to be an issue now but was not present for the entirety of last year.
