my canadian 2017 FL S3 didn't have the rear tail DRL on by default. I used VCDS to enable them though. IMO cars with the rear tail DRL turned on look better, more modern (with LED), and is better for safety.
Happened to me twice now, within 5 months of ownership of FL S3, but not runing stock tires. Upgraded to Continental DWS almost on Day 2. It is definitely just bad luck.
^ you were absolutely right in that the noise wasn't from the cabin at all! It was actually underneath the car.
1. There were a number of pebbles/gravel stuck in one of the plastic underbody liners. These are the long liners beside the exhaust, and not the one underneath the engine. Because the...
yes it's like that on my FL as well. It's silly, the camera view is squished and small. I wouldn't worry about the steering lines as they are completely useless.
you are not the first person to say this, and some acceleration times suggest the prefacelift is faster. Perhaps the transmission TCU knows that it is still relatively new in its break-in period so it doesn't try to shift too fast to increase longevity.
Wash your car first (inside and out) before taking it to the dealer for any work. Then write big notes on A4 paper that says "NO CAR WASH", and use tape to stick them on the dashboard, in the rear center console, and in the trunk to be safe. Been doing this for the last 10 years.
Do not rely on...
I stuffed towers into the glovebox and cupholder and drove the car around some bumpy roads. Unfortunately, the unholy sound is still there. Doh!
For the seat rattle theory posted above, I can eliminate that possibility because I've stuffed towers under the seat and it made no audible...
I have the wireless key, and keep them in my pocket.
Are the grippers in the cupholders known for causing sound? I actually have tried pressing on them and they did not seem to be loose.
@mainthestreet for certain it is not coming from any loose object. I have emptied the car completely.
Good question. This sound was never there in the first few months of ownership (during Winter). However, I cannot say for sure that it is related to temperature because when I took a road trip...
Unfortunately, the jingling sound I'm experiencing is none of the above. However, I was able to rule-out several locations:
1. It's not coming from outside as opening windows did not increase the sound, so it can't be shocks or brakes. The sound is 100% from the interior.
2. Adjusting seat...
So my relatively new '17 S3 developed a new jingling sound when going over bumpy roads, high speed or low. It sounds more like jingling than rattling or squeaking.
It sounds faint, and similar to the bell on a cat's collar. I cannot pin point the location.
Any one have a similar experience? I...
Do you have more pictures that you could share please?
I am very interested in the Eibach Pro kit, because I find the Eibach Sportline's drop to be too much. This looks to be perfect.
looks sick. Can't wait to see pricing.
you would have to driver over a sidewalk/curb to scrape that..
even if you lowered your car a bit, you probably won't scrape very often. The overhang on the 8V is very small!
