The rocker issue effects several cars in the VAG range including B9 RS4, S4, SQ5, Panemera, cayenne (basically 3.0 TDI) and 8V S3. For the RS4 engines made after May 2019 should have the new roller design with larger pins. Which isn’t new and was used in the RS6 engines
Don’t take this the wrong way, I can’t see anyone spending money on RS engines and carbon discs with a member who has just joined. Who knows, I may be wrong.
Why are you breaking these cars? I can’t see you making money unless you bought them very very cheap and they are cat B cars (crash damaged and can’t go back on the road). A 2013 in the UK is north of £35k and a 2020 would be above £60k.
Is the parts request system no longer supported? I can see a lot of recent posts in the thread, however no one appears to be answering them.
Thanks in advance.
Sounds like you have a parasitic drain. You will need to measure current draw on each fuse when the CAN bus is asleep. You can then home in on the faulty modules.
I used Osram cool blue intense bulbs. Not LEDs but a great match for the xenons. I bought H7 and H8 bulbs and changed the turning light bulbs too. Don’t recall which bulb was for the fog lights.
Try autodoc for the motor. As for the washer jet these get blocked. You can try cleaning with a pin or replace it. It just pulls off the washer pipe that runs inside the motor.
Clear the fault codes and see what comes back. The codes may be related to an airbag fault if you fully unplugged the glovebox. Get a full VCDS scan and post it here so we can see what’s happening.
What’s the benefit of a Japan import? I don’t see why shipping a car half way round the earth and paying import duties makes this viable. Especially when the MMI won’t work.
I doubt it’s plug and play. There is a selection switch in the drivers door for seat memory and the seat controllers have component protection. Kufatec probably have a loom to help you.
I finally got around to fitting this at the weekend. I’m rather impressed with it. The supplied radio keys are not the best and got stuck so took a while to remove them.
It does have an aftermarket look about it. That doesn’t look like a typical connector that Audi would use. I’ll have a look in my boot later. Interesting that the frame next to the fuse block has been deformed. What’s the yellow part inside there?
