    B7 RS4 vs B8 S4

Surprised no one has responded yet? That's quite a question, and your 'wish list' seems, how can I say, open ended? First off this is an Audi forum first and foremost and RS or S models are still regarded with some reverence, whatever car you choose. If money was no object I'd personally have...

Good news. Glad you got it fixed.

Low Oil Pressure A4 30tdi MHEV

DTC: Diagnostic trouble code. Only had a low oil pressure fault once in 30 years of owning Audis. That was on a 2001 V6 B5 2.5TDI Quattro Avant. Scared the hell out of me. Trouble was it was early in the morning and I was towing a boat at the time. No previous errors, and when the car was...

Low Oil Pressure A4 30tdi MHEV

Needs live data on VCDS, that will show oil temperature, pressure. When the car was scanned - what DTCs were logged?

    Winter Preparation - A4 Allroad

This part of the forum has been quiet - so thought I'd share what I've been up to. Did this a couple of weeks back on my 2017 Allroad. I know the winters can be harsh in Scotland, plus salt and grit takes it's toll on the powder-coated rear subframe, so taking no chances. Did the same last year...

    RS4 B8 Weak points

If its B8 Avant, then leaking panoramic is well documented, plus rear spring seat corrosion. Whatever you buy, make sure rear subframe is treated with Lanoguard.

    B9 rear camera

Just closing this thread. I got AV Adaptions in Aberdeen to do the work. So rear reversing camera now installed and satellite navigation updated to 2025 maps. Can thoroughly recommend Adam if you're north of the wall and looking for retrofit work to be done. Next project is enabling front...

Caliper Sticking -Front Driver's Side Audi A4, 2009

It's cast-iron. Autodoc have them - ATE version is £108 or Textar £111 plus postage. I'm basing this on 8K2 2.0TDI (163PS/120kw) saloon. Double check with your registration.

Caliper Sticking -Front Driver's Side Audi A4, 2009

Yes - if it's sticking, its probably corrosion under the dust sleeve that's the real cause forcing the dust sleeve to stop the piston retracting. You can try a full rebuild, or replace. Add some red grease under the dust sleeve, either way. Grease for the sliders - light smear of ceramic brake...

Ibis White Roadster. Any polish recommendations please

Used to have an Ibis White A4 Allroad. In my opinion its a great colour and paint is hard wearing. I used Menzerna 203S (now renamed Medium cut), after clay-bar and tar spot remover. Once you've done that, top up with a couple of coats of Collinite 576S wax, then step back and admire the...

looking at a6 3.0 or 2.0 tdi any advice

Depends what your lifestyle is going to be and normal roads for this car. The 2.0 litre engines are solid (used to have 177PS) in an A4 Allroad. It suffered a premature turbo actuator fault at 70k. Now this car was well looked after with regular oil changes every 8-10k miles. I'm sure 190PS is...

Advice with reading an EML Diagnostic Code.

Not sure what the warranty is for this car? On 2016 vehicle - I can't see it being Approved Audi, but for argument's sake let's say it is - then Audi will routinely charge you for the diagnostic even if you have an error code from third-party garage or even if you're running VCDS from a laptop...

    Coolant leak in both footwells

Does sound related. Fact that the matrix was replaced. Did they fit genuine part or pattern part? Speak to the garage that did the work and take it from there. I would get a wet-vac and shampoo on the coolant on the carpets, then get a dehumidifier up and running so it's bone-dry.

    Help Please Fault Code 00471

You've posted in the A4 B8 forum. Your Q5 may or may not have adaptive suspension (normally a build code of 1BL) in the extras - see build sticker in the log-book or boot recess. Suspect this is headlight range controller. Usually linked to suspension rear and front on passenger side. Possibly...

    Rear brake caliper woes….

Febi Bilstein parts are usually excellent. Calipers usually fail with build up of aluminium oxide corrosion under the dust sleeve which swells and causes the piston to stick. I take it car has electronic parking brake if you’re using VCDS to set? That clonk noise might have been pads sticking...

    Servicing advice please

Saying it as you see it! The oil probably costs £50, you can get Castrol Edge 5w30 LL at Costco for less, then add in a genuine filter, say £20 and sump washer, although to be fair you can reuse as it doesn't use a crush washer. Labour and VAT accounts for the other £230 for a procedure that...

    Servicing advice please

At the very least, then get an oil change by early May. That way it's changed annually and you'll likely stay within the warranty specification of your lease, which I suspect must provide more details if you check the small-print. Audi's long-service regime of up to 19k miles can potentially...

    Oil level 2015 Audi A6 2.0 TDI 190

Agree with CupraDine, fans running could be anything. If you're planning on keeping your C7 A6 long-term, then consider getting VCDS. Audi will charge you at least £190+ for a diagnostic. You can get a 3 VIN package for as little as £225 (assuming you have an old laptop to run it on). That gives...
