I am looking to get a genuine set of 18 inch rotors. 7.5j et 54 5x112 part number:8P0601025bs.
Will this fit on my 2004 Audi a3?
Currently have replica rotors that are 8j et 42 5x112 has got spigot rings on.
Is the offset difference from
42 going to 54 stop the genuine alloys fitting on my car...
I have an a3 2.0 tdi at 192k miles currently. The engines are very good just make sure you look out for their common problems like flywheel and turbo. With the one at 140k see if it has had turbo or flywheel changed they tend to go usually 100k+ usually. Both mine were done at 120k.
54 A3 BKD just hit 191k had new turbo at 120k. Never let me down had it since 181k. Make sure it's got the correct grade of oil (5w30) which I found out too late lol. Was on 5w40.
Since I switched to 5w30 fuel economy has shot up and car warms up quicker.
Its a good engine weak points as people...
Update: got the coolant flange changed. The old one looked in a bad way was corroded/damaged on one side and the seal was pretty much gone.
Will see how the coolant level is next couple of days.
Update: My mechanic had a look and suspects it could be the coolant flange. Ordered one from TPS and hopefully get it fitted tomorrow morning.

Update: parked the car outside my house and noticed white smoke coming from under bonnet around passenger side. Leaky radiator?? Can see some fluids on the bottom tray cover.
Hi all, recently in the past few weeks my car makes a clicking or rattling noise when I turn the heaters when the engine is cold and still does it to around when it shows70c on the dash and the exhaust will start to smoke white.
I had been losing water previously but it stopped for like a month...
I've been told to keep it 32 psi all around by my Dad and a guy who works at a tyre place. I first kept to the sticker so I had them like 37 front 35 back to compensate the size difference from 16-17 inch.
Hi sorry to hijack the thread Mujnu I recently getting a weird problem sometimes BKD's idles around 980-1000 (choke?) on when the car is at temperature and the heater is on happens when I am about to park it up.Anyone know what this could be? Is it a serious problem?
Hi Dean as above if the car has been looked after Mileage is irrelevant. I have a 54 plate 2.0 tdi that has just hit 188k. Was 182k when I bought it ,I'm fortunate that the timing belt was done with 12 months MOT to boot.
