    I went through the very same decision making scenario only a few weeks ago...... Test drove the tdi 140, 170 & 170 quattro. Really noticed the difference between the 140 and 170 .... but not so much between the 170 & 170 quattro... Eventually decided on the 170 Quattro and not long after...
