    Has anyone seen upgrades to the stock side mount intercoolers on the 3.0 TDI? The current smic part number is 4F0145805/4F0145806. I know there are straight swaps for the 1.9 TDI sidemount, but I haven't found anything yet for the ASB engine.

    I was wondering about that. One of my reasons for not buying the RS6 is that the 2009 ish one doesnt really look that special compared to the rest of the range. It's quite subdued. If the RS6 bumper is going to cost the earth then its not worth doing anyhoo.

    Faulty fuel level sensor ?

    I fixed mine a couple of weeks back. There's an audi fix involving crimp connectors on the pumps instead of the faulty plastic plugs. Instead I soldered the joins for a longer lasting repair.

    I've spotted a join in the pipe at 7 on the diagram below. If we can get that unbolted perhaps we can get it off in two sections.

    Mmmm that doesn't bode well. We'll be on drive on ramps for the first attempt, and we have access to a proper garage ramp if needed. Step one is to see if we can get the bolts loose enough to maneuver it out.

    I've just moved back from South Africa and my leather is sad. It's gone all cracked and dry from neglect I think. Is this salvageable with conditioner or something? What magical products can I use?

    Has anyone tried removing the downpipe on their 3.0 TDI? On Monday/Tues I plan to unbolt mine and take it off the car. I hope to cut open and gut the cats. Mine is the 2007 non-DPF version. I imagine it's a pain in the balls to get into. Can anyone offer any wisdom or guides for the job? Thanks P
