If you can feel them with your fingernail they won't buff out.
It seems as if he has accepted fault by attempting to rectify it.
Still I imagine you'd need to be able to prove the damage wasn't there before
Not sure where the £4200 quote comes from. I'd be looking for second opinion and not having a Cat D. Unless there is a lot of other damage underneath or elsewhere.
There is a guide on here for the facelift somewhere.
Document everything you do (photos etc) so when you sell the buyer has a...
Turbo will whine or whistle if it's about to go (mine went at about 60k), not just sound like suction. If it's stuttering then something is up, maybe needs cleaning?
I installed my MKI9000 myself but could never get the sub to work.
I eventually splashed out on a kit from just car kits to fit it, now it works like a dream.
I have 19 x 9 ET52 all around on mine. 235/35/19 (so the same amount of stretch you would have) Spaced 10mm on the front and 20mm on the back so ET42 front and ET32 rear. -2.5 degree of camber on the rear.

They're not for everyone but thanks, I spend too much time detailing this car.
Wow thanks! Means lot buddy.
Appreciate it man, thank you.
Haha yes you do sir! And I need bigger...
 Yes of course I'm on air. At ride height it's okay.
Need to roll the front arches and dial in a little more camber on the rears. Or use slightly smaller spacers on the rear.
