    Adblue Issue - Large Bill!!!

    Various combinations of warning lights, no restart in 650 miles, AdBlu spanner, EML warning, sometimes all three, other times two or sometimes just one. AdBlu tank and J880 sensor replaced under extended warranty with just the £250 excess to pay. The warranty payments have earned their keep today.

    Correct tyre pressure for 225/50/R17

    It should say on the driver door jamb plate but I run at 2.4 bar front and 2.2 bar rear. Hankook Ventus S1 Evo2 are my current tyres having shifted from Michelin Primacy 4.

    Well they stop the car, seem a little less dusty and were a lot cheaper than going to a main dealer. Was offered Audi originals, pattern copies and Brembo's. Not a lot of difference in price

    Had my fronts done a few months ago at my local tyre specialist. Brembo discs and pads fitted inc VAT for £225. Rears shouldn't be too much more.

    When my rears had worn too much I got a "Brake Fault - Contact a workshop" message; when the fronts went the message did at least tell me it was the front pads.

    Queries on A4 3.0 Tdi 218 Quattro Avant

    225/50 17 tyres don't have the best range of options. I liked Michelin Primacy 4 but now have Hankook Evo2's at £108 a wheel; they are unbelievably quiet even compared to the super quiet Primacy's. Can't comment on anything else as I have a 2.0Tdi.

    Had my local tyre shop do a full Brembo replacements for my fronts for £230. Rears would be a bit less. Took them just over an hour. Why do it yourself?

    Rust Forming Already???

    A4's don't seem to be that fragile. Mine is still absolutely fine after nearly 5 1/2 years as it was a really early, Nov 2015 car. All I'm doing is the regular services and replacing what wears out; last week front discs and pads. 61 500 miles and going strong.

    Either looks as if something has been applied to the paint in that area or, more likely it is the result of a not very good repair and respray.
