I think the UK / EU electric vehicle mandates have forced the manufacturers to spread their development budgets a bit thin, plus they have to cover the charges for not selling enough EV's so have added the costs to the prices of all their range.
"Average consumption over that time has been 27mpg; if that's too high for a luxurious and refined two-ton SUV that can do 0-60 in five seconds then an SQ5 is not the right car for you."
2022 Tdi SQ5 does 0-60 in 5 seconds and average since new of 35.3 mpg (inc. some horse trailer towing).
But a base 3.0D X5 with no extras is only £4300 less than an SQ5 with all the bells and whistles and the M60i starts at £94.5K so hardly a direct comparison
Keep a look out on Ebay for genuine ones as they can come up for sale new with sizeable discounts.
Although for an A6 Avant, not A4, they would normally go for between £95 and £110 ish, I got one for £61 from a dealer and then a month later they came up for £38!
Part number should be 8W9061180...
2022 SQ5 TDi owner here and my long term average is about 35mpg though that has included some towing of a horse trailer and does reflect probably a 50/50 mix of suburban short journeys and longer trips.
Longer motorway journeys driven with some restraint give 40 - 45mpg.
I have a 22 SQ5 and my fuel consumption ranges from low 20's to mid 40's and my long term average, after 16.5K miles is 35mpg. It was a bit higher until wife started using it for towing a horse trailer
Good luck with your sale.
Car looks lovely with a good spec. and it's clearly been well looked after.
As a matter of interest, what sort of fuel economy have you been getting?
Another vote for Audi Insurance (sorry AIB, I didn't try you when I had to re-insure last month).
When I got my new SQ5 last year, I had quotes from the usual suspects of between £1200 and £1400 plus tracker (£500) for myself, wife and 26 year old daughter, but Audi came in at £870 and no...
No a comment on the value or spec. of the car, but I had an email from Inchcape Audi saying that this coming weekend (19th to 22nd May) they were offering an extra years warranty on approved used Audi's.
Regular diesel for my 2022 SQ5 too. Not even bothered trying premium and not had the 'tinkling' noise either.
On another note, my car is going in for an engine software update (23EI 2022-07-22 W) - anyone have any idea what this will do and will I notice any difference?
