    "Average consumption over that time has been 27mpg; if that's too high for a luxurious and refined two-ton SUV that can do 0-60 in five seconds then an SQ5 is not the right car for you." 2022 Tdi SQ5 does 0-60 in 5 seconds and average since new of 35.3 mpg (inc. some horse trailer towing).

    Keep a look out on Ebay for genuine ones as they can come up for sale new with sizeable discounts. Although for an A6 Avant, not A4, they would normally go for between £95 and £110 ish, I got one for £61 from a dealer and then a month later they came up for £38! Part number should be 8W9061180...

    SQ5 SQ5 tdi running board removal and mpg

    2022 SQ5 TDi owner here and my long term average is about 35mpg though that has included some towing of a horse trailer and does reflect probably a 50/50 mix of suburban short journeys and longer trips. Longer motorway journeys driven with some restraint give 40 - 45mpg.

    Good point. Hadn't realised that the version of SQ5 you have is the petrol one as the diesel is also turbo-charged.

    I have a 22 SQ5 and my fuel consumption ranges from low 20's to mid 40's and my long term average, after 16.5K miles is 35mpg. It was a bit higher until wife started using it for towing a horse trailer

    Regular diesel for my 2022 SQ5 too. Not even bothered trying premium and not had the 'tinkling' noise either. On another note, my car is going in for an engine software update (23EI 2022-07-22 W) - anyone have any idea what this will do and will I notice any difference?
