I’m after some dpf advice please.
Car has 119k miles and the dpf seems to be doing a regen about once-a-week or so approx. every 150 miles.
Mix of town and longer drives.
Haven’t seen the dpf light come on yet though.
This is the quattro which I believe means the dpf is a big big job to remove...
Has anyone else done this same repair.
TPS are listing it with 3 gaskets in the kit. 1 metal one with tabs + 2 others the same.
Not sure if it will be necessary though for new gaskets.
Anyone?
OK, so its an egr pipe.
About £60.
Not sure how much has to come off to get to bolts around the rear of the bend, looks a bit awkward though.
Plenty being sold on ebay so I guess it's a common failure.
Or get it all blanked off.
Is this possible without also blanking the dpf though?
For me it vibrates up the pedal only as your clutch foot reaches the floor at higher revs to change and then it fades away as the revs drop and it re-engages.
The clutch operates fine, sharp changes with no judder.
But I'm purely guessing it may be release bearing.
Plus it makes no sense to only...
I guess at 115k it's going to mean new clutch anyway.
But I guess I’m asking can these symptoms be caused by anything more simple, seeing as the clutch seems to operate fine except as stated above?
What’s indie cost these days for clutch?
I’m getting a strange vibration through my clutch pedal on depressing when changing gear at higher revs.
Clutch behaves perfectly normal in all other ways.
Seems to be more evident in the lower gears.
Only when you first depress the clutch with the revs on, but it is quite noticeable.
Car is...
Apologies, I guess this has been covered many times if I search through th the forum.
But, just quickly, can some kind person tell me the preferred oil (and place to buy) for this engine?
Battery 115 type ordered.
I have fabricated a 6mm hex tool and have removed the bolt.
Do I need rns-e code before disconnecting (as it is no-where to be seen!)
Wow, getting it out looks well tricky.
I've taken top plastic tray and surrounding cover off.
Then some rubber conduit cable thingy in front of the battery.
But the torx retainer is under what looks like a large steel strut brace, looks like a bitch to get to?

Tayna shows 354x175x190 for my reg, I think thats incorrect and will maybe compromise the ac pipes as pilet14 says.
I believe it should be 315long as per my existing battery which I believe is the original at 14 years old.
Can anyone confirm battery spec for a 2008 a4 3.0tdi cab.
Existing one looks loke its a 000 915 105 dh
size is 315x175x190 80ah 640cca
Can't seem to find a replacement at a decent price, many sites are showing a 353mm long equivilent which I don't think will fit.
Have you got oem number, some sites dont seem to differentiate between standard and s-line model.
Or do you know spring length, 2008 cab s-line quattro 3.0, rear spring?
Thanks
