My rear washer on my old 8v S3 used to regularly clog up. Used to have to remove the cap over the nut and clean the little impeller that’s inside to sort it. Maybe worth looking at.
Nice Kyalami Green SB Vorsprung parked in well known Cheshire Spa hotel towards the end of last week. Not sure he would have saw mine as it was in a different car park. Would have liked to have bumped into the owner for a chat.
It will be because the voltage has dropped below the minimum threshold for it to operate. This will always happen to a car not used very much. I would recommend a trickle charger to stop the battery inevitably deteriorating to a point where replacement is the only option.
If they had been the Audi Macclesfield of 9 years ago, I would have ordered my RS3 there and be using them for all my servicing. Won’t go near them now. Really seem to have let things slip.

I don’t understand why dealerships can’t understand why customers do not want a car wash. Drives me insane, along with a bit of anxiety, despite the numerous notices I put all over the car. Hate it.

100% agree about the heavy rain effect. First time it was very disconcerting and I actually thought I had a brake problem. Something to be aware of which isn’t a major issue once you are used to them.
