Alright mate, when I needed one I just got it off eBay, 17 piece (or more can't remember) multi kit thing. But you can pick them up from places like Halfords and screwfix etc. They will have your required fitment in the kit

As per the title really, ive read so much about the porous heads on the BKD engine (which sadly I am suffering with at the moment - I have the early A cylinder head, and it's drinking more coolant now than I did beer on NYE)...
Where can I actually buy the revised C head from? just straight...
Always a good idea! I booked mine in a couple of weeks after purchase (not an S3 but the principal remains). Couple of quid for peace of mind or at least identifying any underlying issues is totally worth it [emoji1303]

I wouldn't mind buying second hand as long as I was confident that they had been well looked after and I wasn't being fobbed off (which I'm sure I wouldn't be if I did have yours) but unfortunately it wont/cant happen, 55m FWD unfortunately :sob:
Tbh they sound perfect for what I'm after...
@leshkin I have just been searching around for more info on the ST X's and found your old thread, that got revived a little earlier this year. Your review on them seems pretty comprehensive and a good one at that! You may have swayed me towards the ST range over the AP's, it just means I have to...
I'm going for AP's. I'm fully aware they aren't OEM comfort which is fine. They seem to have a good rep across the forums so will be my choice within my budget. I won't be chasing crazy lows so I won't be removing helper springs and bump stops etc. [emoji1303]

Anti-roll bars are a good shout, don't know why I didn't think of that tbh haha. Whiteline is the route to go I think.
In terms of firmness, it's not like I'll be replacing them all round, probably one or two that won't make much impact on drivability, I use the car for a few long journeys in...
Hi,
I'm in the midst of saving for some coilovers and was wondering what supporting mods are beneficial (if any)? I know that I can just bolt them in and away I go, but just curious if replacing some bushes and the like for poly ones would be worth it? to firm up the handling a little more? or...
hey man, I can't answer any of your questions as I haven't done any of this to any car ive owned, but intrigued none the less. Make sure you update this with pics as you go along my friend, looking to be a very interesting build with you going against the norm :racer:
i'll investigate later I think, see if I can spot anything.
Yes, since buying it in March, the warning light on the DIS has come on 2/3 times, with the coolant being below the minimum mark.
What sort of smell was it? I did notice a funny smell the other day but I just thought it was something coming in from outside as I had the heaters on at the time.
