BRD 2.0 TDI DPF EGR Removal

Yeah BKD is the one you want if you don't want the flaps. Cleaning wise... Take manifold off and Mr muscle oven cleaner in it for as long as possible then jet wash it out. I didn't do that though, I just cleaned it and brushed it away as best I could with brake cleaner. I'm going to buy a BKD...

What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

Hi. Not been able to log in as I deleted all my passwords by mistake. Had to get hold of admin through email to send me a reset link as the link on the website for the password reset was not sending me one. Anyway, gave the car interior a well and truly deserved good clean on Friday as I have...

What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

Ah could actually be faulty then. Get it scanned and see what it's saying. Obd11 has been a godsend for me. It's saves having to plug a laptop into your car and you can just keep it in the glovebox as I do. Yes the dipstick is hard to read but whoever owned my car in the past painted the bit...

BRD 2.0 TDI DPF EGR Removal

You will need a new inlet manifold gasket if you clean it out just to be safe. I got an aftermarket one for £15. Info I could find on torquing the bolts back up is 10nm for connecting the inlet manifold back to the block. Yes you can leave the cooler in place if you want to. It just won't be...

What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

Regarding the oil sensor. Just found this on another forum... Just a quick note to say that the bonnet sensor was stuck and after removing, cleaning and re-fitting, both the low oil level warning has disappeared and the open bonnet warning display on the dashboard now work. Reply

What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

Well I have just fixed my avant rear light. It has been playing up for a while with intermittent brake light and indicator faults on the dash. I knew exactly what it would be. It's the pin on the bulb holder gets corroded. Now you can just add a wire and bypass it but I found an easier way if...

What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

Did the low oil level light go out after you had closed the bonnet before topping it up?

BRD 2.0 TDI DPF EGR Removal

If you have never cleaned the inlet manifold out before then it's definitely due a clean. And yes I deleted the cooler too. Mine was doing the same, if I booted it at night I could see smoke but not loads. I haven't booted it hard since doing the Egr and cooler delete so not sure if its improved...

What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

Dunno then mate. Suggested all I can with what I know about them. Sound just like you need to replace it. Don't know if mine has ever failed before which I'm sure it probably would have but changed mine around 210k miles. There is always something lol

What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

It should have thrown up a fault code. Have you tried clearing it? That might work if it's had a moment. And yep it's right in your face when it's on. If you clear the code and it comes back then it's definitely dead and won't be worth faffing with.

What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

No worries. Must be completely dead then. Bearing in mind mine is the diesel so not sure if the same thing happens with the petrol models. But it is definitely a 'thing' . I read it somewhere when I first got mine and I was getting the trouble with the low oil light. Btw it was a orange oil...

What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

Yes that is correct. When the low oil light comes on you open the bonnet to check the oil. Once bonnet is closed the oil light goes off. If you have not topped the oil up then the low oil light will come a day later. It's to remind you to top it up. However the oil sensors do go bad as I have...

2.0 TDI oil pump / balance shaft failure?

Ah right fair enough. Yeah it's nice around there. Where I used to live is an absolutely dive now. Glad I got out when I did.

BRD 2.0 TDI DPF EGR Removal

Yeah I was going to get a BKD Yes I was going to get a BKD manifold but if they stay open with the vacuum line disconnected then that's as good as. Mine has the metal flaps (BRD) and I've just cleaned my manifold out. It was really bad and I've put a darkside Delete on. Also have the delete...

BRD 2.0 TDI DPF EGR Removal

Hi mate. I have just done the EGR and cooler delete on my BRD 170. My manifold has the flaps but I have left the vacuum line to the actuator on the side of it connected, Should I blank that off, with a screw? What is the benefit of the flaps being open all the time? Will these even still...

2.0 TDI oil pump / balance shaft failure?

Yeah she's a keeper, I've spent quite a bit of money on it, probably a lot more than it's worth but at the end of the day I love the b7 avants and always have and that's why I bought it. And you are right, I've probably said it before but I will get a kmb fitted eventually, I just meant if...
