Thanks for that, it would make a lot of sense as my car has not been running right for quite a while. Very smelly and I always thought it had something to do with the mixture of fuel to air ratio. It is intermittent though, some days it’s fine and other days it doesn’t run smooth.
yes, i think you are right, i just inspected it further - the outer sleeve is def damaged but the inner wires still seem intact - 4 of them.
Question is - does the outer sleeve transmits signal or is it only a heat sleeve?
Anyone know what this cable is for?
It seems to have split the outer protective sleeve with metal fibres visible.
It is for a 57 Audi A3 2.0 TDI 170 and runs at the top of the engine bay.
I’m hoping that when I fix this cable it will stop my car from intermittently running erratic.
was just looking for some advice regarding tuning my 2.0TDI 170 PD Quattro (57 plate).
it has done 125k miles and apart from being a bit smelly has no issues. Still has everything stock incl DPF. Never had any issues with DPF.
I am considering getting a map on the car as I believe the 170 can...
Im planning to tune my 57 plate audi A3 2.0 TDI quattro 170 BHP and was looking for recommendations.
I have seen a quote to increase BHP to 215 for £295 through www.celtictuning.co.uk
Anyone used them before and is this reasonable?
I did have a tuning box prior to this (DTUK) but it...
That sounds more like it - think they garage told me its a big job with them having to remove my exhaust etc - didn't think this would be necessary - anyone on here with a ramp that would be willing to help out a fellow member? Thanks!! happy to pay to use it - id rather pay fellow member than...
I got the donut from auto doc but not sure how to get this installed properly so decided to book it into a garage. How much should I be expected to pay for the labour to have this part installed? Just got quoted £250 for labour alone - is this reasonable?
Im sure it is the donuts and not the wheel bearing as it is coming from under the car not from the wheel arch.
My questions is did you replace the front and the rear donut or only one?
Also, what is the correct part number: 1K0 521 307A is what i found online - anyone confirm this is the...
Thanks for the tip but I won't be installed these myself - I will get them painted and installed by bodyshop - Do I need to ask them to do this?
Also - I take it I will need to remove the soundproofing and not put it back to prevent this happening again?
