I'm talking from a iPhone point of view here but the same is true for android I believe , make sure you have deleted any bluetooth connections to the car on both the mmi and the phone .
You may see the 5ghz network but do not connect to it , the initiation needs to be done by bluetooth ...
Don’t know about android phones really. The google specs say you need to be on android 11.
A quick search shows someone on Reddit saying this about the one plus.
On the phone, I launched the Android Auto app-->hamburger menu-->settings-->version tap this 10 times, then got a new option...
I would change your 5ghz channel back to the default 149 , which is licensed for outdoor use, in BAND C , with higher output power (up to 4000mW , and for point to point links .
You are on channel 40 at the moment , which is for indoor use only , and lower output power .
@harvsurrey would also...
What country are you in ? I'm on Firmware 3281 and it works..
in module 75 my settings show the same as yours except my channel number for 5Ghz is 149 .
Have you set the smartphone configuration in Module 75 ? I don't see that in your pictures.
75 module can take a while to update settings, , I think it needs to fully power down ..
There is an option to Soft, reset the module which is like letting the car power off and go to sleep. Or you can just lock the car and wait a while.
This is from the OBDeleven site :
"Reset function is...
Looks like what I see for CarPlay.
Have you paired re paired you phone with Bluetooth. ?
It’s actually asking you to connect with Bluetooth
It then shows up for me ( CarPlay )
I’m guessing as I don’t have android, and didn’t set it.
There are 2 place to set google android auto. One in...
Have the adaptation been done in both 5F and 75 modules (with the bonnet up ) ?
Some have said they needed to leave the car a couple of hours before changes in 75 took effect.
I didn’t need to connect to the WiFi.
Make sure you remove the Bluetooth connection from your phone and the mmi...
It would. was just a thought that crossed my mind , due to the symptoms I started having..
The very first issue before the software update seemed to be caused by the system powering down the telecommunication module , after around 15 mins of shutting off the car (I saw the status, could remote...
Yeah I set it up again. It was pretty much all reset anywhere. I’d removed from the Audi app. Etc. Removed myself as a key user. Gone through loads of steps with Audi connect.
You tried pressing and holding the mmi power/volume down and holding it until the mmi reboots ? That doesn’t wipe...
How’s other online services working. ? Mine wasn’t updating my vehicle stats. Couldn’t grab weather or news. Etc. I turned satellite overlay maps off and it wouldn’t turn on again.
Seemed to be to do with the cellular connection or link between MMi and telecommunication module. Had to pretty...
Has anyone had problems again more recently ? Mine had been fine since having 3281 updated in June . It stopped working on the 19th December (or that's when it last updated ) .
I have today done a factory reset , and it will not even allow me to set a key user ? ! ?
I'll admit I have never tried Android Auto, Only have have iPhones , and the android I have isn't compatible. (or wasn't when I first did this, looks like they have expanded the list )
Do you have one of compatible android phones ?
Any smartphone with Android 11.0 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi. In the EU...
I also found this relating to 149 when researching how to get this working (its not a regular home use channel) .. Channel 149 does work for me .
"Band C (Channels 149 – 161)
If the 1000mW output power limit that Band B offers isn’t enough to suit your needs, then have no fear – Band C is...
I used ODBEleven , it automatically enters the security code.
There is a setting for 5ghz SSID to be visible or not visible I recall. It does not have to be visible , It first negotiates by bluetooth, and then connects to the 5ghz network automatically , to initiate CarPlay wireless.
