Air Con only really cold on passenger side

Thanks for replying, to be honest I don't know when the AC was last checked/serviced, got the car earlier this year. Looks like I'll need to get it looked at by an AC technician. The last time I had a mobile AC recharge service it turned out to be a broken compressor, so I spent £50 for...

Air Con only really cold on passenger side

Hi all, I noticed today that the air conditioning in my car isn't very effective, which I guess could be a number of things, but that the air coming out of the vents on the passenger side was much colder than it was on the drivers side. I set the temp to "LO" and also to Auto, as this seems to...

    Rear wiper delete?

Yeah, I had heard of this, and was concerned that water was spraying somewhere it shouldn't be when no water was coming out of the rear washer/arm. Luckily it was just a clogged nozzle spray in my case. I read a post somewhere that explained that someone had repurposed their rear washer...

    Rear wiper delete?

I know it divides opinion, as I've read posts elsewhere and many people are against the idea. The rear wiper blade has been very poor for a while, so I've not used it for months, and haven't missed it. Personally I prefer the look of the car without it, I'm still undecided, I may try...

    Avant rear tailgate lights!

That's not too bad actually. I just have some other work that needs doing which is more important. But if I can't get the lights looking good enough then maybe I'll have to buy some.

    Rear wiper delete?

I'm considering removing the rear wiper from my car, the rear jet was clogged, and after cleaning and refitting it split and now doesn't stay on, I guess the plastic was old and brittle. Also the wiper blade is worn out, so to replace both could be £10 -£20, and I can get a proper delete kit...

    Avant rear tailgate lights!

I assume you're talking about the inner rear lights? I had trouble getting it back in too, in fact when I was trying to restore them with by sanding etc I decided it was easier to leave them in the car and just mask off the area around them. After sanding with progressively finer sanding paper...

Rear Brake Pad Wear, are they used by Cruise Control and ESC?

Hi all, just had a successful MOT ( yay! ) but an advisory of rear pads worn. I have read that as my car has an electronic handbrake it's a bit of a pain to change the pads, I do have OBDeleven, which apparently can help with the parking brake? Also, I have just read that some cars use the...

Boot Light Stopped Working (Changing to LED's)

I had a similar issue when I first got my car, one of the number plate bulbs wasn't working, so I though I'd upgrade to LEDs, unfortunately all that happened was that the new LED bulbs caused an error light on the dashboard, then when I put the old working bulb back it still wouldn't work! The...

    navigation

I know this doesn't answer your question, but I now use a cheap android tablet instead of the built-in satnav, as in my opinion it's easier to use and has live traffic benefits etc of Google Maps, plus the ability to install apps to stream music to your car stereo etc, maybe an option for you?

    Rear lamp fine scratches

Thanks for your reply, maybe I will try a headlight restoration kit first, as unless I was going to de-chrome the entire car I don't really want the rear lights tinted. Might go well with a black Audi logo on the tailgate though :)

    Rear lamp fine scratches

I know this is an old thread, but as I have the same problem with my rear inner lights I'd like to know if it's worth lightly tinting all the rear lights to hide the faded/scratched surface? I don't want a dark tint, but maybe a light tint film would look ok?

    Are these brake discs done

Does anyone have a link to some decent pictures, exploded diagram of the calipers, as that would help me visualise what the problem could be. My calipers are the type in this video:

    Are these brake discs done

OK, just fitted new discs and pads at the front and after approx 50 miles it seems that the offside pad/disc isn't bedding in properly. The old pad I took out had uneven wear, and it seems that the new pads are having the same issue, the inner portion of the disc has a bit of surface rust, so...

    Wheel Arch Liner Screws/Clips

This is the kit I got from ebay, not sure if it is a 'full' kit, but hopefully it will have enough to replace any missing screws.

    Wheel Arch Liner Screws/Clips

Thanks, not just me then :) I'm guessing they either fall out or aren't replaced when removed, the undertray screws have probably just been lost and not replaced when the car has had work done on it in the past. I had thought about packing out the space a little with a washer. I sometimes see...

    Wheel Arch Liner Screws/Clips

Hi everyone, noticed that some wheel arch liner screws/clips are missing on the front. ( I know this isn't exactly a major issue ) The torx ones all seem to be in place, but there's a couple near the bottom where the under tray connects to the front of the front wheel arches the fixings were...

Thought my car was a CVT Multitronic, but the PR Codes say Tiptronic?

Yes I have read some horror stories about CVT failures, so the first job I had done within a couple of weeks of getting the car was to get the oil changed. Thanks.
