Goodbye Vauxhall (sort of), well hello Audi S3

er: 139994"] So to celebrate this momentous occasion I had a tweak in VCDS and activated the passenger mirror dip when reversing in bit 2 & 3 long coding for module 52. Works a treat and really does help to stop the nearside rims getting munched against gnarly stuff. Do you need to have...

GUTTED! :'( Just Crashed My S3 in the Snow

Thanks for this info, in the end i arranged for car to be dropped off at a more local garage and which is Audi approved. After getting the car on the flatbed and having a look, the crashbar took more of an impact than i thought and the recovery driver asked "think it's a write off" which i...

Crashed in Snow - Advice on Insurance Repairs Please

As per this thread..... https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/gutted-just-crashed-my-s3-in-the-snow.423403/ I revisited the car yesterday and the damage doesn't look as bad as I thought actually. Definitely repairable. The insurance company say their approved repairers are L&I Eton who are...

GUTTED! :'( Just Crashed My S3 in the Snow

Thanks John, some really good knowledge and advice here. Audi Approved Body Shop According to this Audi website, the nearest approved body shop to me is HB Panelcraft Ltd in Preston. They appear to get good reviews, never heard of them though and there are a 60 minute round trip. A more local...

GUTTED! :'( Just Crashed My S3 in the Snow

Just reading about approved repairers using Audi parts vs third party parts. Apparently they will use genuine Audi parts if the vehicle is under 3 years old or - some say - under warranty, as using non-Audi parts will invalidate the warranty. My car has a 12 month extended warranty on top of...

GUTTED! :'( Just Crashed My S3 in the Snow

Where I live not far from the sea on the west coast we have less than a day of snow a year on average, most years none. Not worth having to put different tyres on or buy 4 new wheels to change myself. I will chalk this one down to experience, learn from it and move on.

GUTTED! :'( Just Crashed My S3 in the Snow

Going for a walk not far from home, being really careful on the drive, following another vehicle but on a short steep downhill section I locked up and as we al know it's then game over as the car simply accelerated down the hill. Aimed for the drystone wall in order to avoid hitting the farmers...

Facelift Tyres Slashed, Need Help with Replacements :'(

Thanks Colin It's an S3 so 4 wheel drive, i thought newest on fronts for better grip and braking. No? My garage is a registered tyre fitter/dealer for Blackcircles and Goodyear and others. Also tyre leader website is down, kind of? Are they no longer the leader or is it my internet connection?

Facelift Tyres Slashed, Need Help with Replacements :'(

This is from an Asda page...... (you know, the go-to website for tyre advice??.....) Which tyre manufacturers offer rim protectors? The following tyre brands offer tyres with the rim protector feature: Dunlop, Bridgestone, Continental, Pirelli, Goodyear, Michelin and Hankook. The tyres with...

Facelift Tyres Slashed, Need Help with Replacements :'(

Some cnuts have slashed the tyres on a load of cars across about 4 or 5 streets where we live. Over a dozen cars affected, some like myself only finding out two days after the event. What is the mentality of these losers, their sad little lives so unfulfilled they need to cause problems total...

    Audi 'Complete' Service Plan

Just spotted on the second Audi doc that the car actually has MOT cover dated until 13/03/2021.... The fact Audi cannot tell me any of this, not the dealer nor VWFS when i contact them and i have to put so much effort in is a f***ing joke.

    Audi 'Complete' Service Plan

Thanks for this and posting the link, so far this is the best evidence I have. If i get this work done by Audi for free and the work listed on the service record, I won't have any qualms subsequently going to dealer for anything that isn't covered. I imagine servicing closed weekends, so I...

    Audi 'Complete' Service Plan

So are you saying that the Haldex pump will fail if the filter is not cleaned? If that is the case - and by the case I mean there is evidence of this being necessary maintenance, then under the terms and conditions of the service plan i will argue that is necessary work under the terms of...
