IIRC the Audi factory tint is 90%. (lets 10% light through)
I'm current in a mk7 GTD that has 65% standard tint - 90% tint being a factory option which is identical to Audi's privacy glass.
I would definitely go with 90% on daytona.
If you cant get in contact with the dealer, I would take delivery of the car and look up a local tinting company with good rep then get it booked in.
The dealer would just sub it out to a local company anyway and put a small mark up on.
I think the Audi privacy is 90%, have a look at mk7...
Yes noticed the non- S Line A4's have a dotted (individual LED) line.
Just thought it might be useful info for Sport vs S Line orders, I remember when the mk7 Golf come out a few people added xenons onto cars thinking they would come as per the GTI/D with the U shaped LED DRL, however turned...
Spotted 2 facelifts yesterday - An S3 with roof rails, possibly Floret as above, looked stunning.
The other was (I'm guessing) an SE, brilliant black, small wheels - but what I did notice is that although these are now standard with xenons/LED DRL - the LED DRL was only the top line, unlike the...
I might test drive the 184 quattro when its time to replace my current mk7 GTD.
Like yourself, the 190 TFSI quattro could also be a possibility, but then if I make the change to petrol would rather go for a mk7 GTI...
Pardon my ignorance Dave, but what would the difference in a FL version of the 184 TDI 6 speed S-tronic quattro be to the one you already drive?
I thought the FL is just cosmetics? Obviously the TFSI 190 is a different engine.
Choice you made:
19" '5-V spoke' design alloy wheels in matt titanium look, diamond cut finish with 8.0J 235/35 R19 wheels
+ 2,500.00 GBP
Must be combined with additional equipment:
Remove 18” ‘10-spoke’ design alloy wheels in matt titanium look, diamond cut finish with 7.5J 225/40 R18 tyres...
For £2,500 the V-spoke wheels will most probably come with mag ride.
This is what they do on the Golf GTI CS, you can't select the 19" Pretoria wheels without DCC (same as mag ride?) and cost is £2,480. On the Golf R the Pretoria without DCC are £900.
As above, the A/C on a vehicle will leak if you do not use it frequently as the seals on the flexible pipework will dry out.
Over the past 10 years I've had an A4 B8, Caddy mk3, T5, 2x Golf mk6, A3 8P and now a Golf mk7, always ran the A/C on constantly all year round, on all of them, not a...
I've not heard that one before.
The exact refrigerant amount is charged into the system by weight, you cant just 'top up' a system like most people think. If you are short of gas you don't know how much you are short by unless you recover it out and weight it.
So if they didn't fill the system...
The refrigerant isn't the lubricant, there is also PAG oil in the system.
A low pressure fault will switch the system off to prevent the compressor from overheating, the refrigerant is also used to cool the compressor.
If they are M series they would have come with an infra red but as they have installed hard wired they would have taken the ir's for spares.
The universal remotes have been out for years, but haven't heard of this app yet, in the trade myself so will have to look out for this.
Does the display...
