I've taken out my secondary cats, and I like to make lots of loud pops and bangs all the time :)
Cop must have been close. I got a letter in the mail to visit the EPA here in Australia (Environmental Protection Agency) to test my car. They can do that there if they wish.
Had to go to EPA...
Any feedback all? Last thing I want is to get a notice in the mail for being too loud (which I have in the past haha) and then have to put the stock DP back on, which is a PITA!!
Any feedback on how the decat does with:
Appreciate any info!
It's not needed on the RS3 guys. The air flow is fantastic already, even tuned stage 2. There is no need for a bigger intake. It will gain you next to nothing.
That's why you don't see any air intake kits for sale for the RS3!
Ugh. To be honest man, for that price, I can buy the same wheel brand new from the US and keep my current wheel. Those shipping costs are a bit crazy. I bought an set of four Vossen wheels that were shipped to my door in three days for $100 AUD.
OK now I'm more confused haha. Are you supposed to be able to see the sensors? Like you can on the front and rear bumpers? Cause I can't see anything!!
I also noticed that when I start the car up, for a few seconds, the lights on the passenger mirror light up for the side assist, but not on...
I unfortunately didn't get a pic of the fault code.
I've looked all over the car and can't seem to find the sensors for the side. Are they supposed to be little round circles cut into the side skirts or something? On the front bumper you can clearly see the sensors, but I can't tell where the...
So took it to a mate who has VCDS. Scanned as "Unknown Error" in the side assist. Wicked haha. We took the mirror apart. All cables are plugged in. Resetting the error in VCDS does nothing. It keeps coming back up immediately.
So no clue what's going on. Now I'm having to escalate this...
Hey all. Anyone else ever had a side assist fault error pop up on the dash? I just started getting one, and it won't go away!
I've had ACC faults before, and they disappear after a few mins. But this isn't!
I've looked all over and can't see any physical issues. Where are the sensors...
I'm all for a DP, but what's the point when there are next to no Stage 2 tunes available? You're really not getting any advantage or gain from a larger DP unless you reflash. Stage 1 tunes will not incorporate the added gains from a DP.
In fact, I fear the car may run worse with a DP and no...
As betaone68 said. Except that mine took 10 minutes, not 1.5 hours. The first time you drive the car after the ECU flash, you'll have pretty much every warning light on your dash light up haha. They'll reset themselves though after a couple mins of driving.
I've been running Revo for about 9 months now. Not a single hiccup. I ran Revo on my S3 for 2 years (Stage 2) and not a single hiccup or issue.
I'm not surprised Revo puts out more than MTM. One is a proper flash, the other is a piggyback box. I ran a DTUK on my S3 before switching to Revo...
You won't find standalone tips only. Like it was mentioned, they're part of the exhaust, and are welded to the pipes. They don't come off. You'll need to replace the entire catback, or as Spack said, get them painted.
