    surely it would be better to check master cylinder clearance with this turbo if it's what you're going to be running rather than checking it with a turbo that you're not going to be running? Or did you check before the decision to swap turbo was made?

    I could be wrong but I believe the block required an overbore due to damage from the last blow up hence the need for oversized pistons rather than OEM

    Hose Technik (Forge) should be able to make you some braided ones to your specification, just need to tell them the length and what fittings you need on the ends. Usually done same day too so shouldn't have to wait ages for them to be made.

    whats the reason behind going 1.9 over 2.0, is it just the cost of the 2.0 crank or do you think the 1.9 is better suited to the rest of the build?

    or if you're thinking of modifying the strut top in a big way anyway why not just cut the cone off, move it inwards by the 10mm that you need and then weld it back on keeping your existing top mounts or would that reduce your outward adjustment too much?

    couldn't you just use a spacer the same shape as the new top mounts that would bring them up to the same height as the existing mounts? Or maybe ask SP if they could machine you some out of thicker material?
