Hi I'm new to the audi world. Just got my 2001 Audi A4 Avant Quattro 5spd this last thursday. I'm loving it! Its the b5 body with 2.8l 30v v6 engine.

I have a question about wheel fitment. I currently have boring 16 inchers on my ride. I would like to upgrade to audi's 17 inch rims offered for the b6 series. The offset is +45. Will these b6 rims fit on my b5? Cheers!

Mike

p.s. these rims are an example of what i'm looking for:

Offset in the link is 42, same as standard wheels you have on so will fit. The higher the offset from this thou may mean you need spacers, not sure exactly wot you can got to without, somebody else should have experience to say.

the offset is not ideal, plus used would come with 235 45 tyres and clearance at front with upright would be measured in rizla papers

ive got a set on my avant and when i lowered it i had to add 5mm spacers to clear then changed tyres to 215 45 (but kept spacers for looks)

plus there are wheels that better suit the b5 that can be bought cheaper like boleros or s4 alloys

I like the bolero's. the s4 alloys, not so much a fan of. how do you guys think these would look? I've seen these on a lot of member's cars already on the picture thread:

Then there is this one which says its from an A6. Not sure which would fit better and not sure which would look better either. what do you guys think?

Those 18's look nice! Did you have to add any spacers or do any other mods for them to fit or was it just plug 'n play? thanks
