looks like hes has the recirc valve possible capped? and a baileys dumpvalve (atmospheric type). Did you get the car like that? bet it runs like a sack of sh*t

mk1lik.. loose it dude.. its a BOV and your engine does not like it. and if you say its not opening/veryloud it means yours stalling your turbo! bit long with the vac pipe too... could of just ran it 18" behind the DV and it would of been in the same place! who ever owned you Audi before you dont know nothing about VAG engines! Simples!

another cold side bodge..... really cannot see the benefit of this mod even with a proper 'normal' recirc valve...utter waste

ok lads whats the plan of action what shall i do as im new 2 these engines i just want to do whats best thankx for all the input

Jesus, you can tell it's been fitted by someone without a clue, because of how the vacuum feed is taken from the little metal pipe where the standard one comes from.

If whoever fitted it cared to trace said pipe back they'd find it just goes to under the inlet manifold, turn the DV through 180 degrees so it's pointing towards the centre of the car, and that 4'' of vacuum line could become 12''!

Still, if the car has been decatted there's no reason it won't run OK, it'll overfuel on gear changes and pop and bang, but it won't do any harm.

Still gay though, get a forge oo7P back in there.

Tim: the cold side mod can be worthwhile, as it's circulating cold air back into the system, rather than hot air from pre intercooler, this not only helps keep charge temps down, but it also stops the DV from getting super hot and sticking

forge 007p dv
I think there is a sale on, check the classifieds on here

Theres an echo in here here here here here here here.... sorry prawn ill get my coat...

Humm... I am currently more interested in what the N75 is connected too....

Looking at the pic below, the pipe that is supposed to be going to the actuator looks to be connected to a piece of blue silicon pipe.... it looks suspiciously like its connected to the pipe leading to the BOV.... please tell me this isn't the case???

If it is then I wouldn't drive the car until you have it all sorted... that pipe needs to go to the actuator and this is a more serious problem than the BOV atm...

hi tuffty the pipe comes of the top of the n75 the blue hose goes from there down to the actuator hope thts right

I think your right tufty, it does go to the BOV. What was the previous owner thinking?

the n75 pipe deffo not on the other end of the tiny metal pipe that your BOV is attached to? is that where your thinking tuffty as it cant be clearly seen. can u get a full engine pic mk1kid?

the n75 pipe looks to be going under the TIP towards the Turbo in my eyes..

got ya fella but having a 007p wont stick regardless will it? plus there cant be any benefits surely, you increasing the piping run for a start and its not that much cooler at that spot...... its all under the bonnet

Yes, that should be fine... As mentioned before, change that BOV for a DV (Forge 007p or similar and not a Split-R)... where is the vac feed coming from? Looks like someone has tried an N249/118 bypass... badly... the actuator looks like its the dual port type as there is a pipe in the top of the picture that terminates roughly where the jubilee clip is on the bottom of the N75 that appears no to be connected.

I haven't done a bypass on a dual port so cannot really comment on the implications of this but it does beg the question as to how well it was done and what other little gems may be lurking in your engine bay...

That is a gold plated, Diamond encrusted mess. Whoever did all of that needs to put the spanners down and step away from the car!
