I am a owner of a audi A3 2.0TDI, I have been told that my car has a faulty throttle valve, can you inform me if this will stop the car from starting.

If you take the throttle body off then whatever you do dont try and open the flap manually. It has a small stepper motor attached and you will break it. an exchange unit will cost you about £70. If it looks coked up you can clean it from both sided with carb cleaner on a rag. Dont spray the unit direct or again you will damage the electrics.
