As above, Im looking in to buying some tyres for my recently purchased 19s, Im having to consider the budget im working within so have chosen these 2 tyres as best options!

Could anyone who has had experience on these post their comments?

The size im looking at is 235/35/19, they both have pros and cons, the falkens FK452 have fairly good ratings and are £17 cheaper per tyre (£101), also have rim protector, which I like about my dunlops which I use on the 18s! But have heard dodgy comments about them in wet conditions. I don't think the Vredesteins Ultrac Sessanta (£118) have the rim protector ( could be wrong!) but seem to perform better in wet conditions.

Thanks Steve

I have Kumho KU31's which have been great and have managed 17k out of a pair of fronts.

I had fitted on Wifeys ED30 Golf GTI Falken 452's and the grip is very impressive.
Rim protector......not on 225/30x18's.

I think im going to go for the falkens, cheaper option for now!

Im going for the falkens in the next 2 weeks or so. But im on 18's. The money I save over the Vredesteins will be used to buy a new glovebox!

Have you checked Camskill, they have some really good deals on at the moment?

Falkens are good in both wet and dry but due to their softer compound may not last as long as some of the others. Vred have good reviews and alot of the RS boys are using them due to their lower price over the premium brands.

I have past experience of the Falken FE512 (I think they were) and currently use Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's - both at 18"

The Falken's were abismal, and the Vred's are awesome.

I'll let you guess which I'd recommend!

512s were dire! I had them on a Golf years ago and was never happy.

I'm on my 5th set of FK452s and never had an issue.

That said, my next set will be Vreds - i wanna see what all the fuss is about ;)

Vreds, Vreds, Vreds,Vreds,Vreds...

Don't get tyres because they're cheaper - It's the most important part of your car!

I've had Vred's and they out performed my old Pilot Sports and where £65 cheaper per tyre.

You won't be disappointed. :)

Log onto Vred's website and they'll show you all the stockists closest to you, that way you'll get them cheapest.

The tread pattern is tidy aswell!
