just went to get into my car to go shopping and discovered some a**ehole has snapped my passenger wing-mirror off!
they've obviously pushed it down hard because it's snapped off completely,so now i gotta spend yet more time out of my weekend to take it apart and look into what bits i need to renew.
this is starting to get on my nerves now,only just removed the nail polish from the other week 'n' now this :(
why can't people just leave cars alone!
 
Might be an idea to park away from other cars. Walking the extra 200 yards to the supermarket is far better than repairing the damage idiots do to your car. I even do this at work, because I simply don't trust anyone there to respect my car when opening their own.

Even had some stupid woman whack their door into my car while I was sitting in it. She got quite upset when I gave her an earful, but she had it coming - paint isn't cheap.

Really sucks though, hope it's not too expensive to fix.

Their are some jealous wa***rs arounds and I know exactly how you feel. I been getting sly little scratches etc on my car OUTSIDE my house and forced me and my family to spend few hundred pound on tarmacing the front garden so can park my car on there.

Hope not much needs renewing dude.
 
just been out and unmounted the mirror.looks like i'll be needing a whole new assembly!the part that the casing mounts to has snapped away from the part that mounts onto the car.tried to seperate the 2 but the coil is an **** to get apart.plus it'll be cheaper and easier just to get a whole new mirror.i even need the cover that goes over the baseplate because theyve forced it so hard it's also cracked this aswell!basically it's f**ked.so i'm now on the hunt for a complete passenger side mirror.
can anyone recommend places to buy from?i'm just glad they didn't do any damage to the chrome casings as i've just bought them!
 
some prats decided to do the same to my s3, they snapped both chrome mirrors making them unusable to them, they were the chromes ones too, and aside from that they ripped the wiring loom out too... vexed me out

nothing at all!i swear.it just seems like 1 of my neighbours is a right jealous pr**k,eitha that or it's the kids round here bored on there summer holidays.got told a story earlier on about how it happened but nothing concrete so can't act on it,:sly:also found out is was 1 of the kids round here that done the nail polish remover went straight round to his house going mental at his mum as soon as she opened the door,phoned the police they went round and gave him a warning.

The cops giving the kid a warning, if there's no CCTV or anyone prepared to give a statement an arrest on a kid isnt really worth it. A bollocking in front of the parents will suffice most of the time.

I've literally had kids in tears when I've ripped into them over thinks like this, it does work but its still not a trip down the cells I'm afraid. Plus you cant lock anyone up under 10 years old.

Seems like your cars a **** magnet lately though :(

indeed it is!
the kid is a 17 year old little ***** to be honest!had police round there house countless times for god knows what and he still seems to get away with anything he does,parents don't give a stuff eitha!so the bollocking the copper gave him goes through one ear and out the other.
1 of the local kids his age caught him ripping his mums plates off her car and gave him a good slap but still doesn't stop him, he's just a waste of space!
can't tell if it was him or not but 1 day he's gonna push one of us over the edge.
also heard another story about how it happened from my neighbour,been pondering around all weekend thinking what to do,don't wanna get myself locked up for some **** tho!
 
I always get quite cautious have a nice car outside now...

I didn't get along with my neighbour at all, I actually threw bleach over her at one point, but now I don't do anything because I know she'll take it out on my baby, haha.

*I don't attack all girls, just this one. She is 13 years old and was for a period of time, ringing the door bell and running off -- her dad's a **** too.
 
If I were you I would forget about dishing out any revenge to the lad because, 1 you will more than likley get in the **** with the police, 2 the boy is gonna hold a grudge and will very likley do even more damage to your car.
As hard as it is not to go and give him a good hiding, hopefully leaving it be will stop any more malicious damage happening to your car.

Trouble is that the kids have all the time in the world to roam the streets to pick a good time to smash your car up, and if you turn it in to a war it will end up costing more money. Just my oppinion.
Hope you repair your car bud and I hope the little twats move on to something else, what ever it may be.

It is a toughy about how you should react - but whatever you do, make sure you've thought it through!!

Mate sorry about your car. Takes the **** this does, hope it dont cost too much to repair. As you said mate its not worth you getting yourself in trouble over some little *****. Got a little cousin around that age? Lol let him deal with the ****. CCTV would be good. Hope you get it sorted soon mate

Nattie where you live in Grangetown? You need to be careful down those ways. My cousin old Red A3 got keyed outside his house, some one through a doner kebab on it before. He wasnt happy but we have an idea who it is:happy:

:laugh:Your post just made me laugh! I've got two new familys who moved in a house right opposite mine and next door. All i can say is weirdo's!!!
 
i actually have a witness to what happened!i spoke to one of my neighbours earlier,apparently he has been havin a few run-ins with this bloke up the road from us,and apparently when my car was parked outside his house about 1am friday night he see this blokes 2 mates hanging off the mirror that snapped,he said it looked like they was trying to break it off and when they broke it the motion sensor set the alarm off and he heard our **** of a neighbour say "nah man leave it now innit",as u can probably tell he was black,not that i'm a racist.
he said he didn't wanna get involved as he's having his own run-ins with this bloke as it is and doesn't wanna make things worse,so a statement from him is out the question.
so i actually know who is responsable but i have no pyhsical evidence,so i dunno what to do:sorry:

Well thats a useless neighbour...Why tell you that and he wont even give a statement. So pointless and he watched them do it and never said any thing. That just shows how weak some people are, what is britain coming to! Could of they thought it was your neighbour car or a guest of the neighbour? Seeing as your both having trouble with the same person.
Cut a story short three little pircks tried robbing my car last year, i was still up so confront the idiots.

A fight did break out but wont get into the details on ASN. But lets say i came out on top and they got arrested. They did have weapons (a metal pole and bat) so i bought out my trusted 21inch chrome baton. I've seen these guys around my area and the excuse they used 'We didnt know this was your car'. They are well known to the police. They have not been around since, I did see them a few weeks after, when i was with a few of my friends and gave them another beating for the cheek.

As for 'as u can probably tell he was black,not that i'm a racist'. Thats just irrelevant comment...Not trying to start some thing just stating it dont matter what colour the little pr*ck happend to be. How old is he 17?
You must know some one who can have words or sort the little punk out?
If your community (neighbours) dont stand up against these kind of people, its gonna keep happening. As they are just gonna think these people are not gonna do any thing...And its just showing a weakness and people will take advantage of that these days!
