Turbo upgrade :)

i guess the MAF would depend on the tuning company, probably a TT225 item would do the job.

Injectors again they just need to be big enought to flow enough fuel for your power level. TT225 will probably work, or anything else you can find that fits in the fuel rail.

Sounds identical to the kit i made, will all soon see it once Lee unwraps it all lol.

Got a free week early July so I'll be trying to get the kit together and sorting out the air filter setup and exhaust/cat to suit if all goes to plan.

your current MAF will be fine if you are only looking at 275ish otherwise an S4 or BAM TT MAF would work.
TT injectors are 340 or 364cc IIRC which should be OK but getting close to their limit. you are looking at between 60-70bhp per injector as a MAXIMUM. so 280 max.
I would always want more injector than I need. you don't want to be running them at 90+% duty cycle if you have a boost issue.
this link gives you a rough guide to what you can get away with based on 80% or less duty cycle

http://www.injector.com/injectorselection.php

you could get some fairly cheap 550's and are better off with new ones anyway. I wouldn't run second hand injectors on a chipped/tuned/built application as you just need a quick lean out and you are replacing pistons.

could be, I know they are less than 440's whihc is what most of the Mk2 guys put in when the remap the BAM engine conversions.
either way I would go with 500+ personally

The TT injectors wont fit our AEB manifolds. Mark covered it earlier on in this thread.

Genesis 550cc are looking good to me.

Not got it yet mate.. should be with me before the end of the week though. Got to get through MOT first!

Lol.. Yeah finally sorted internet access at home. Got a BlackBerry too so got mobile access which is useful.
When the MOT is sorted it'll be full steam ahead!

Big parcel full of turbo goodness arrived today.. not had a chance to open it yet as I'm at work.

A quick update..

I've been looking into getting a US tuner to provide a map and have found a few options so far.

I should in the next few days have a plan of action!

T28 & K03..

Yeah something from the land of the rising sun that goes fast.. not actually sure what this one was fitted to originally though.

There are different specs of T28. Knowing where it came from would help gauge its potential. The S14A turbo is good for around 300hp and afaik the Escort Cossie T28 is around the same.

If there both around the same output how will help to know?

I think it was S14A as I kind of recall a conversation when I bought it.

Because there may be other T28's that will make less?

A quick google suggests the lesser ones are usually T25's though so you'll probably be fine!

AFAIK there were a few variations in the T28 design but all made around the same power.

As you said Garret also made a smaller T25 which would obviously flow less.

Yours is a T28 hybrid T25 exh and T28 front it's maxed out at circa 310-300 bhp IIRC from the guy i got it off. It good enough to put the stock internals to the test put it that way.

the t28 from a pulsar gti-r is slightly bigger than the t28 from a 200sx as well. you get 300bhp with a bleed valve to get the boost at 1bar in them anyway and about 340 if you push it mapped properly so you should get something like that on the 1.8t as well with a decent intercooler and bigger injectors i would think.

Cheers, yeah I'm hoping for 250 - 290HP ish so I think the turbo spec will be just right.

I've been talking to Unitronic (U.S.) who have a tuning file that suits what I'm looking for but I'm waiting for them to come back to me and confirm if the ECU I plan to use is compatible with the software.

After talking to numerous tuners I have decided to go with JabbaSport who (as previously covered in this thread) will be able to flash tune my new M3.8.3 ECU.

I need:-

Larger diameter maf housing.. TT 225 or similar (3").

415cc injectors.

A weekend fitting turbo, wiring loom and ECU.

£495 and a morning at JabbaSport for my tune.

To get my *** to Santa Pod and see what I can do!!

Anyone can help with anything in the list above I would be most grateful.

its not from a gti-r anyway. they have a 2 bolt flange on the inlet and 3 bolt on the outlet for the cold side.
