Silver trims arounf the windows???

Does anyone know how easy it is to remove these?

i want them in black instead of the silver. Dont know if you can buy black ones or would i be best to get the silver ones done black?

anyone shed any light?

not an easy job, maybe this is worth a try.

its been used here to cover the grill and window trims in vinyl, you can always remove it too. http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=273657

I have ordered a roll of this from the US, longer roll and 32mm wide, should be able to cover grill, chrome trim etc..

Have you got an A3 or A4 not sure from your name?

Hmm yes let me know how you get on, I might consider doing this on my grille trim - then if I don't like it it's no worries

Here ya go, I got some 32mm wide black tape and set about taping up the grills on the S6, here is an after pic or two. The main reason in getting the tape was to cover the corroded alu strip along the rear of the car, I did this too.

I think it is basically 32mm wide insulation tape, you can get 25mm 3M tape cheap enough, must be worth a shot..

It just looks like 32mm wide insulation tape to me.. seems to work OK, I would go to my local electrical shop and see if you can get wide black tape and have a go..

Yeah I looked quickly in my local Halfords today but they didn't have anything wide enough - will try harder on Monday
