Show us your pics! I'd love to see what they look like with pressed plates on, so I know wether or not to put them on mine.
Cheers, Dan.
Cheers, Dan.
I'm a Neighbourhood Watch Scheme co-ordinator and my police contact told me the other day that in a 'crackdown day' near where I live they booked 20 cars in one day for having illegal plates. All were given a £60 fine and a Notice to have the plates changed within 7 days.
I knew this would get the same old legality posts by the internet police. Yaaaawn.
I know im going straight to jail, life inprisonment, Joseph Fritzel has nowt on me.
Never had a problem with my plates. Got the rear plate surround from a car show by a guy called "Plinth Meister", £30 a pair but I only needed 1.
My brother's six year old was hit by a car with illegal plates and they failed to stop. Thankfully he was not hurt too badly... the police had a nightmare tracking down the driver as none of the witnesses were able to give the reg number accurately - the knob driving the car had moved the letters together and had an italic font. If that doesn't spell it out...
Reason two - ANPR cameras have trouble reading these **** heads illegal plates - Essex and Cambridge Police are currently really clamping down on anyone they see with an illegal plate. Chances are, anyone who thinks driving with an illegal plate is harmless and perfectly OK will be guilty of a few other things as well... that's the rationale the police are now using... ... so if you wanna get pulled up and pay a fine... hey, might even see you on Police Interceptors

Oh of course... I understand now. People with pressed plates kill children.

Perhaps you need to move and live in Guernsey...
Dubmeister do UK Legal pressed plates. There not too dissimilar in style to the German ones but obviously you can't have the stadt seals.
naa i'll just wait till i get my cobra
Not much fun having a cobra in Guernsey as the overall speed limit is 35mph and 25mph in built up areas. Could be very frustrating!!!
Unless you dont give a sh1t about the law
Im only messin Dave, it was a comment along the vein of "if you have such plates then you must be a criminal"

German plates on mine too
Yes but real German plates not silly imitations!!
I wonder how long you would get away with driving a German car, registered in German on UK style plates. Mind you I'm not sure any German driver would be stupid enough to even try it.
