Is it just me, or do my toys seem to be getting bigger? :think:

Mateba Grifone .454 Casull. Same muzzle velocity as a mid calibre hunting rifle (2600joules) and enough recoil force to detach your retinas. Will take down everything from a wild bore to a medium sized bear.:)

A Hippo? Yes, the 454 Casull bullet was designed to drop a Rhino and other large game at close proximity, especially when they charged at the truck you were in. Its essentially a scaled down big game cartridge. And very possibly the most powerfull handgun load in the world, with the exception of the .50S&W. Here in the UK it doesn't get any bigger, this is it, this is the one, and I own it :yahoo:

with that gun you could have two chavs full of E, depending on where you shot the chav.
Or maybe lots of chav up the wall

@Fingermouse, its a slow moving bullet with a lot of energy, at the very least it would probably knock it out and fracture its skull.

What do gun clubs charge you to go down and use there facilities ? and just out of interest how much is ammo ?
 
That gun is pointless, why would you need a .50cal handgun?
By the time you have recovered from the recoil you could have put about 4-5 shots out of a sig or similar.
 
@PJMSpeedy. It all depends on the range where you go. My range is £155 for the year and yuo can use their guns, targets are around 15p each (unless you are a tight **** like me and print your own off). Ammo varies, .22 is around £5 - 100, .38sp / .357mag are around £1.50 - 10. Rounds for the Casull are currently £60 - 100.

@A4Quattro. Most of the large calibre handguns are used in northern America and Canada for stopping things like bears attacking you, keep one in the car in case as its easier to handle in a confined space than a rifle is. Most Sigs are 9mm, I would prefer a larger calibre to stop someone if needed be, bullet proof vests and all that.
 
A man of your experience should be able to just put 2 in their head, no vest there!

Where abouts do you shoot?
 
I shoot at the 49th in Saltley every Tues and Thurs night, some saturday mornings. Outdoors with the big stuff at Kingsbury ranges.
