Hi,

Attended the show on Saturday and was on-hand with my cam-corder to witness this poor fella bin his RS4 into the tyre wall following some power slide attempts.

This was his 3rd lap I believe, and on lap 1 he tried and failed but escaped without any problems, the 2nd time however was a different story...

Feel sorry for him,

What happens now, will insurance fix it or does he have to pay for it him self ?

Question is did he bother to take out track insurance!?

I have a series of pics that I'm currently processing too, and in them he can be seen bashing himself in the head lol, so he knows he's in the brown stuff...poor lad.

I have lots of footage to go through of some wicked action from the day, will post more up when I have done it ;)

So you are telling me he had been trying todo power slides .... we all thought on Audisrs it was due to trying to overtake the TT and offline etc tec

It's been posted up on the Audi Meets forum by a friend of his, he was overtaking the TT, and as such, was on the wrong driving line to attack the corner and lost it... he was pushing it hard the lap before apparently also.

No, what happened was he was trying to slide it round the bend in front of the viewers.

He'd tried on lap one and nearly lost it, ended up cutting the power and had to head over the grass to the right of the track.

2nd time he came round he gave it more beans, flicked it, slid a little but wasnt in control at any point and it kicked back. He couldnt correct it and it spun round into the barrier.

As well as this guy though, one of the drivers from the Audi stand was doing the same thing. I understand though, that he has been doing it for 10 years, rather than 10 mins like the first guy! Either way... big mistake.

Them jumping out the car and standing around on the same corner was pretty insane too... good job noone else lost it there at that point!

Dan, you must have been stood right by me... I have the same video but missed him hitting the wall as I followed the cars into the corner not thru!!

Crazy to attempt power slides at Castle Combe !

Yes, unless you know what you're doing! Chris Ward was doing them lap after lap round Quarry in that black RS6 Avant. He made it look like an Elise! :racer:

(Thanks to Graham from AudiSRS for the photo.)

Ah man, tank slaps are not pretty.
Real shame, i sooo hope he has got insurance as that's gonna cost hell of alot

If that is the case, he's probably ******.

Im sure theres the normal 'sign here sir' when you take the car for loan that wont cover ragging it sideways round castle combe.

Classic case of over correction!!

Feel sorry for the fella though!

I'm only going from what I saw and filmed, but I have footage I am about to process and upload that shows him sliding even more hard-out through this very same corner, only to luckily land on the inner exit of the bend and correct himself to pull away again in front of 4-5 other cars...

From what I saw, he was doing the same as that 08 black RS6, which is pictured above, power-sliding through Camp Corner, and got it badly wrong.

If he was just over-taking the TT, there must be something majorly wrong with his driving, as he was clear of him going into the corner, and should have also learnt from the previous lap where he binned it but escaped.

Just my thoughts of course, I can only comment on what I saw, don't want to make a bad name for myself having only just joined lol :)

Will upload the other vid shortly for anyone interested...

He was yellow flagged on the previous lap, but kept going at full tilt, he over took the TT into the bend and was in the wrongposition to take the corner, ran out of talent I think!

Quite a few people knew about the car belonging to Audi, no number plates and the tax disk taken out, you have to ask why?

I dont feel sorry for him, would you take a courtesy car around the track?

Talentless Fop!

To have spun out on lap one, clearly only a slight slide that he had no idea how to deal with, he then does that very next lap! ***.

Every one of these Audi, VW and CC Action days, some twot drives well out of his envelope, putting other more responsible and more talented drivers at risk of gettign collected, and increasing the risk fo them cancelling these days.

I am surprised the marshalls did not black flag him after his first lap.

And if it was someone else's car,he is even more of a fool.
