Was thinking today how much I have abused my body over the years, and have pretty much ripped, torn, dislocated, hyper-extended, seperated, cracked every bit of me lol! 15 odd years of Ju-Jitsu, Chinese Boxing and Muay Thai have not helped, but enjoyed every minute of it :box: :ninja:

Soooo, guys and gals, what have you done??

To start.....

Broken finger off! Painful, very painful lol!

Dislocated shoulder & Torn bicep off inside arm. Acutely painful, all thanks to a vicious fight during a kickboxing bout! Both of one kick that sent me to the ground like id been pulled down.

Herniated discs - Hit 'n' run accident. (now 1/2 inch shorter)! Discs were removed as they were pooped.

Hyper-extended arms. Both of, during Ju-Jitsu fights. The 'pop' they make is sickening haha! (I got him back though)!

This is what's popping into me mind right now, so over to you!

Snapped my ankle in a car accident, other than that just shot in the mouth whilst paintballing so not much and hopefully wont be touch wood!

Hmm nice. Never been in a fight so nothing as bad as yours lol.

Broken wrist in 3 places (being in goal against "the bigger boys" when i was 10)
Broken collar bone (rugby game)
8 stitches in my kneecap (infantry training when i was in the army cadets)

Thats it for me, i've been lucky really.

Not an injury as such, but have had eczema all my life. So I have shredded myself from top to toe on more than one occasion from scratching.

Not so bad with it now thankfully.

cut top of left ear off , ( had it stiched back on )

ripped left ear almost off from the rear ( again stiched back on)

blew my cruiciate ligament in my right knee, doing cartlidge in :(

broke little toe while having a bad knee, funny thing was I was on the phone to my wife and just said dam ive just broken my toe, she says you can`t have,

I repleied Well its at 90 degrees to the rest of them. I just put it back in place and put some socks on lol.

all rest are cuts or cracked ribs etc

broken nose-difference of opinion
broken left tib-playing footie
S1 decompression (trapped nerve dug out of my lower spine)-footie again
broken arm-accident at work (five grand compo )

Broken lower part of my back in two places (ktm 525sx did not like me)
Broken bones in my hand through pub brawls
Teeth through my lip twice from mountain bike crashs
Brunt a hole in my right leg after droping ktm on my self and getting trapped
Many cuts from years of being in a workshop

Guess the worst was breaking hip playing footy, other than that the odd broken toe, gashes down to the bone in my hand and some snapped tendons. Deserve to have broken more but seem to be pretty resilient (went 50 yards through the air at 50 mph skiing recently and was left with a bruised thumb & a bit of a sore chest).

Where do I start, probably best to try remember them chronologically:

16 Stiches in my head - fell off the roof.
Broken Collar bone - fell out a tree house
Broken Arm - BMX crash
12 stiches in back of leg - fell off roof onto a picket fence.
6 stiches in leg - dog bite.
Severed achilles tendon on glass bottle, operation and plaster cast for 8 weeks.
Broken ankle - rugby
Broken Tib + Fib - football - eduardo style - operation, external pins and cage.
Broken hand, operation, pins and cast for 6 weeks - animated debate.
Broken Femur - Honda XR200R and I departed ways. Traction, operation, pinned for a year - also >30 stiches to my face - pin removed after 12 months.
Broken hand - yep, same one again, yep, animated debate.
Dislocated shoulder and broken collar bone - rugby
Broken finger - rugby
At the moment I've popped my anterior cruciate which has ended my rugby, waiting for operation.

Pretty uneventfull really.

Was using an angle drill with a 50mm holesaw in it to drill into metal trunking. I was standing on steps with from my waist up above a suspended ceilng. The holesaw jammed and spun the drill round catching my left hand as it went, and causing me to fall off the steps. Mangled my hand a bit but didn't need stitches.

Also knocked myself out with my own hammer when I moved a set of steps, forgetting the hammer was still sitting at the top of them:keule:.

About 13 years old, on a school camping in Hampshire, wading waist high along a stream as part of a cross-country run. I felt my leg knock against something, probably a submerged tree branch (I thought). As we carried on wading, the water got shallower and shallower until we were able to start jogging again.

About 100 metres on, and one of my pals looked round to see how far ahead he was, and screamed "your leg!!!!". I looked down, and it was gashed wide open, virtually from the knee to the ankle, bone exposed, muscles flapping in the breeze, blood washing away into the stream.

A 7th year pupil who had done first aid as part of his Duke of Edinburgh award managed to get me onto the river bank, and cupped the wound together to slow the blood loss whilst an ambulance was called.

The result: 8 hours of emergency surgery, 80 stitches, and bed-ridden for the entire summer holiday. :sadlike:

Still, if it hadn't been for that 7th-former, I'd have lost the leg altogether. A later inspection revealed the submerged tree branch was actually a rusted up pram handle.

20 stitches on forearm- mountain bike
surgery on mouth- took a vicious headbutt, guy hung himself year later . guilt trip ?
lost finger nail- hammer blow
knee cap hangin off, surgery again- bmx racing
crash
2 bust ribs- rumble with a drunk guy

broken wrist twice- mountain bike and muay thai
broken neck - looked round too quick when a hot chick walked by( only joking )

Cracking/Funny thread matt :icon_thumright:

Wow some serious injuries there mattfinn & arthurfuxake (ps like ur username  )

auditek you must hang out in some rum places..

I feel lucky I only have a 2 inch scar at the top of head from an elbow in a thai boxing match.

I also tore my bicep tendon trying to cling on for dear life from a wall that had a big drop (long story!) and I have just recently had it reattached. After the op it looked like an angry gash ehrm :sly: :)

Broken my nose a few times, broken ribs, damaged my wrists, grinding knees and seriously damaged shins (kickboxing)

Angle grinder through the finger
Cut top off left thumb with stanley knife
Smashed left index finger with hammer trying to undo a Scorpio caliper carrier
Some bad burns from welding, especially a bit going in my boot
Whiplash from car accidents and from kickboxing

nothing really serious which is good.

OW!

Good to see some fellow injuries from fellow pugilists! Ive been KO'd a fair few times, bent toes, whiplash, popped elbows, knees, noses, shoulders, collar bones, you name it! Buuut I loved every bone crunching minute!
My only regret is retiring defeated, after losing 2 fights, then 1 with a car!

Cut top off left thumb with stanley knife

Oh yeah, forgot about the time I slashed my lower arm and wrist with a Stanley knife. I am now extra, extra careful when I put a fresh blade into a Stanley knife. Seem's to be the most likely time I'll injur myself with one.

Had a few injuries whilst practicing Shotakan Karate. Mostly a kick in the ****** though :eiertritt:

a4 quattro, angle grinder, wouldnt fancy that, have an uncle who cut his hand up with chainsaw. surgeon did his best, told him bits were missing, ahh thats ok , he replied some bits were missing before. that was 3rd time hed done it. kick boxing, good buzz, not so the injuries it seems to reveal.........

Sounds nasty FM. Hope its not too bad.

Lol nasty. I know a tree surgeon that fell out of a tree with a chainsaw in his hand and he nearly cut his arm off. He went into surgery and they did the best the could but he'll never get full use back.

I used to do this when I was younger...

One morning at training, not exactly awake yet I forgot to roll my shoulders in the giant swing and dislocated them both at the same time. That was sore!

Broke my right leg falling off climbing frame( had it pined)
Broke left ankle playing Ice hockey
Broke Right wrist playing Hockey again...puk found the only soft part of my glove
Cracked 3 ribs snowboarding
Cracked bones in left hand snowboarding
Cracked colar bone snowboarding
Left leg bent the wrong way snowboarding
5 stiches in finger (playing on piller drill when younger ouch)

My work mate was nailing a chip board box together with a nail gun when the nail hit something in the wood and came out at an unusual angle and straight through his index finger and middle finger, nailing them together!

is that you in photo rocko ? they are fit as hell them gymnasts. watched one at the " circus of horrors " few weeks back they were doin a tour, fit crew and some nutfux too. some spectacle....

No no not me in the photo. Trained 6 days a week for 10 years or so, then my knee went and that was the end of that chapter.

Also cracked my head open like a melon playing who can jump the furthest over a wet cattle grid. I won, slipped on the last bar and smashed my head off the ground.

Still have a big scar running down my forehead to my eye socket. Its nice.

The only thing worth mentioning was a game of two man hunt when I was about 13 - fell out of a tree onto my feet, landed perfectly while bending my knees to soften the blow and sandwiched my left foot between the asphalt and my butt - twisted knee and snapped every bone in my foot running left to right in a nice line.

Also had a few broken noses but Ice hockey & adolescence will do that to you :)

Both wrists, both Scafoids, one arm, one collar bone, both ankles, one snapped achilies tendon, four ribs and three fngers, and my nose, not a lot really LOL, all messing about on bikes!!!

You lot wann be more careful!

I've had my skull fratured 3 times resulting in two scars and a dent on my fore head and pretty much a matching one on the back of my head.

Fractured both ankles.

Broke my hand.

Broke a few toes.

Chipped an elbow.

Got some nast scars acroos my wrist from when i was about 5 yrs old when i was banging on a window to get my sisters attention and broke the window and swung my arm down on to the remaining jagged glass in the frame. Nice.

Probably about it really

Oh and i've got a scar above my right eye where i got hit with a metal bar. It split along the brow line and the bone looked like a nice white eyebrow. :)

some serious stuff on here guys OMG!

I snapped my nail the other day. Does that count?

I came off my 'blade at well the wrong side of 100MPH (nearer 130 if the bike behind is to be believed)
Put my right arm out to soften the impact on the road...and expected a broken collar bone...but no.
Dislocated my right shoulder, the moving shoulder broke 8 ribs down the back RHS and shoved the broken bits of ribs into my spine chipping my spine in two places. Oh, and broke my left thumb too.

The consultant was very blunt: The back protector I was wearing saved my life...I should, by rights, be dead or at best in a wheelchair now...with all the internal damage I did and the impact, I had no right to walk away - and walk away I did - tried to pick the bike up and carry on before the adrenaline made way for pain and I passed out.

I guess sometimes you're time just isn't right...

The annoying thing was, it'd just taken me nearly a year to rebuild the 'blade after I ran into the back of a stopped car!
Oh, and lots of broken ribs, in June, with Hayfever isn't too pleasant!

A friend of mine was cutting flag stones with a large grinder. The flag cracked, grinder went right through, hit the ground and jumped up. The guard smashed and broke his nose while the blade sliced a line from his forehead, through his nose, ripped out his front teeth and chewed through his chin.

Was quite the state, but whatever plastic surgeon worked on him did an outstanding job as you can hardly see it now.

I once broke my nose on a mahogany door whilst inebriated. Another time playing rugby and more recently when some bell end decided to chin me on a night out.

nose x 3 - twice playing hockey and once in a pool (when i took my goggles off as they'd filled with water) and i swam into the tiled edge.

8" rusty nail went right through my left leg as a kid

chopped the end of my thumb off trying to load a new break barrell air rifle as a kid - got it back though :)

broke my ankle in 2 places when playing 5 a side

& my gf's family favorite: I knocked myself out cold on a gravestone - we were late getting to gf's grannies burial and running across wet grass to the service, slipped and whack - 8 stitches at A&E and a ruined shirt :( - flipping story always comes out at any family occasion

Here's mine in no particular order:

Chipped a bit off my hip - Mountain bike (trying to do a double)
Hole in my leg - Mountain bike (fell off for no reason, leg caught on cable runner!)
5 Stitches in head - Oldschool mini (rolled it into a field, was a bad bend)
4 Stitches in head - Gypsy (booted me in the head)
Bad Knee - Fiesta SI (crashed into the back of a Golf)
5th Metatarsal - Mountain bike (foot - off pedal into floor trying to do a wheelie)
3 Stitches in chin - mates mums car (locked bathroom, climbed out window, fell onto car bonnet/windscreen)
