Front Bumper Change

Hi,

I recently bought a 2004 A3 which is very nice, best car I have ever had.

I was wondering if anyone knew if the S3 Front Bumper would fit and where I would get one from if it does fit?

I think you will need the bonnet as well... but some other members done that they might give you better info...

Do you (or anyone else) think the hofele one (www.hofele.com) is worth it as I can see quite a gap between the bumper and bonnet...

Do you know of any way I can make the front look better without having to spend thousands on a bonnet and bumper? (Apart from just going out and buying an S3!!)

I don't know the price but you won't spend thousands... just wait a bit I think some will post with more accurate info I know some of the forum members have done that mood...

Yes it is possible, ive looked into it quiet abit, yes you would need a new bonnet if you had an S3 bumper. You can also fit the single frame gill bumper off the facelift bumper.

You coud always fit the ABT single frame conversion

I live in Newark, Nottinghamshire. I have a 2.0TDi SE 2004. In Black. I would love to buy yours off you, but unfortunately it is the wrong colour...

How much is a respray these days??

That Front end does look fantastic!

Nobody seems to be doing anything for a post 2005 A3. ABT sure don't.

Whatever you decide to do with your front end you will need a respray, If you manage to get something in black it will probably be marked so need spraying.

Your prob looking around the £100 - £150 mark for the spraying.

Your about an hour from me
 
I didn't think it could be of the same quality - just wondered if anyone had come across it.... and seen it applied....?

Yeah thats what the translation said, Im guessing its just some type of thin plastic adheisive?? And the strips obviously go on seperatly. Ive never seen one fitted but might be ok for the price, certainly a lot cheaper than any other alterative Ive seen.
