Can anyone tell me if it is possible to adjust the heater controls on my A6 Allroad by using just one side to operate both.

It is a real pain having to go from say 20 degrees to HI and then having to do the same on the passengers side.

Is there an overide or known way of holding the buttons in to acheive this.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Arron.

Yes you just hold in the AUTO button on the drivers side for a few seconds. The passenger side will then mirror the drivers settings.

...and vice-versa.

AndyMac, Thanks for the reply to my question, just one thing though.

My Allroad has one auto button that controls both sides, I was told by a local Audi dealer to have both sides at the same temp and then hold the auto button in for a few seconds and that will mirror both sides, I tried it several times and it did not work.

What I am trying to achieve is that both left and right work by pressing just the drivers temp settings.

Thanks again for your help.

That's correct, works on our A4 B6, no idea why it's not working for you.

It might not be working because you have both sides already set to the same temp. Try raising or lowering the passenger side temp (to be different to the drivers side) and then keeping the auto button pressed for a few seconds.

Its just an idea...

Shades, I have tried having the passenger temp at a different setting than the drivers and it still doesn't work.

I have tried everything I think it could be and still can't get it working.

ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It looks like they changed the climate control panel in later cars?

According to this thread, if you have a single Auto button then it can't be done. If you have two Auto buttons then holding the drivers side one in for a few seconds syncs the two temperatures.

Looks like your car does not have this function. Not the news you were looking for I'm afraid.

Sell the car! that's outrageous, how can you live without this feature, especially if you have extraordinarily short arms!
