Hi my car is a3 tfsi quattro and i need your suggestions to upgrate the front brakes with a bigger stage

Hello. I'm new at the forum. I've picked my S3 2 weeks ago. I've changed wheels for winter for 17 inch and this is minimum U can fit (there's like 5mm of free space).

Thanks JohnS3!!! It's ok. My previous car was a Civic type-r ang I've never complained about the comfort. The S3 goes very good over all the bumps and s**th roads. I think that the suspension is in it's optimum, I couldn't do any lower and harder, becouse the car would be flying more than driving. Another thing is that the interior build standard is very high, and there are no unwanted noises coming from inside. Now my car is in the dealer. They are changing my rear bumper becouse a guy crashed in to me 5 days after I've picked it. 
Really unlucky. For now I've got a Polo 1.2 and it fells funny. Here in Cracow are few guys driving S3's and we had few spots, so if U are coming to Cracow we could met.

I thought you might be skipping along over the top of the bumps. In places the roads aren't that much better over here. I've not seen an S3 over there, just an RS4 parked up down by the Novotel close to the castle. My next visit is likely to be in mid January, I was there at the same time last year and it was -26.

Hi I'm also thinking this for my A3 Sportback 2.0TDI (140bhp) but when remapped, I might consider Brembos?!!

S3 brakes are good enought for 265 bhp. I have my car 3 weeks right now but I've maneged to do 2300km. I've made few test like rally driveing on fast and windy roads, and the first thing is that the brakes don't over heat much. Sometimes when I'm breaking from 200+km/h to a sharp turn at the end of braking I can feel that the brakes are starting to overheat. Next year I'll do remep and turbo back exhaust, then I'll propably swich for better aftermarket pads and it should do the work. Has anybody tested EBC red stuff pads on S3?
to see your brakes working well you must wait for 2-3000km,the car is new yet.For my car i already remaped the ECU at MTM and also a MILTEK excaust system and the dyno result is 250 horse power.The difference is very big and no promblems at all.

Running in brakes depends on how and where U are driving. If most of the time U are driving in city it might be the 2-3000km distance. However i live outside the city, and have a lot of rally like special stage roads . I haven't pushed my brakes to the limit for first 1000km. But after that i felt that they have bed in preety good. Have U ever burned yours brake pads? I did once at a small rally with Civic Type-R (not very hard with this car and left foot braking). I've ran only one Special stage and the sufrace of brakes have crystalized. I had to retire from rally. It took me about 50 km to make the brakes come back (going home ).
You should go for S3 brakes. Are good enought for 250hp. I'm still wondering why they haven't put there more callipers.

Surely with Porsche having such a decent share of VAG they share technology?!?
Do the S3 use the same callipers and different discs/pads, or different callipers too?
I used to have an Astra that had 280mm front discs, when upgrading to the 308mm brakes off the Turbo models the same callipers were used.

Unless you intend to compete or do lots of track days you should be able to get away with some decent pads (Green or red stuff) and change the fuid to some racing fluid, it'll stop the fluid from boiling so quickly and refreshing/bleeding it every now & again will also help without costing you a fortune.
