well after a trip to Star performance yesterday to have the rears lowered and my alignment done im over the moon with the look of the car. Also had a chat about a new big turbo conversion for the 2.0T which will give me 340bhp hopefully in a couple months anyway heres some pics

click on the pics for a better look

Looking great, what wheels are they, also what suspension kit and what sort or price did they charge you? I am phoning Star tomorrow to book a service and to get prices for suspension kits, coilovers looking about £800 fitted.

The wheels are SSW mesh in 8.5 by 19 and the coilovers are KW V2s they cost £850 and £200 to fit

What did you think about quality of Star's work, is meant to be top quality? Also how low have you got the coilovers?

Looking at the pics again si. car looks nice, but needs spacers to fill the arches out abit more!

:iagree:

Also, the discs are a bit rusty, but I'm being picky now!

Appart from that, looks awesome mate!

cant fault Star although Jim is a friend of my dads from years ago so always new it would be top quality the coilovers are all the way down at the back and 2 threads from all the way at the front

What offset are your wheels? And what tyres/size are you running?

Where abouts are Star based?

Star are based in Kirkcaldy the wheels are 8.5" wide and et45 the tyres are 215/35/19s stretched on

Thanks Simon. Any reason you went for 215s?
I'm getting some 8.5x19ET49s and can't decide on 215, 225, or 235s...

i wouldnt of been able to go as low if i got 235s plus i like the stretched look. with it being et45 they sit too close to the arch so when lowered they would of scuffed on the liner screw inside the front arch

Im guessing the discs are rusty as by the looks of it it's just had a good wash and wax.
A good leathering round some b-roads will scrub that rust of no mither!

looking VERY nice there, basically ideal to what i want to do (when i get one)

do you know in mm how much its dropped?

Looking good. Can't help but think the wheels would look better in a lighter colour.

they always look dark in pictures but they are like an anthracite colour

Nice wheels and stance! (I actually raised mine after a while: touching parking ramps became such a nuisance).

Anyways, just wanted to make sure you knew those screws can be removed. In the front, the tabs can also be folded back once the screw is removed. Just be gentle while doing it...
