Drivers Side Glovebox from the Storage Pack

Hi,

Has anyone had any luck sourcing one of the driver side storage bins from the Storage pack yet. It was said to also be plug and play, which would be perfect for sunglasses for me!

I saw it mentioned on a thread before briefly but this was only for the LHD cars.

@Sandra yes unfortunately @thomaslewis these only seem to be available for LHD cars.

I have struggled to get this also. I do however have the part no taken from another rhd car with storage pack. It is 8Y2863084a

I asked my dealer about it yesterday and gave them the Part Number.

They’re ordering it in for me, only £36!

Yes, right now I have the exact hole for the compartment but right now it’s just a blank plate.

From the other forum, the member suggested the blank plate came off and this part inserted in the space, as “plug and play”.

Much quicker than my dealer thought - my storage compartment part will be arriving tomorrow.

Picked it up today and was so easy to install - I actually used the fuse removal tool that was in my glovebox to open up the blanked plate, there’s a small push-clip that holds it in place.

Then it was as simple as pointing it towards the floor, then it became unhinged, then did the opposite with the new storage compartment.

My only grievance is that is was not as large as I expected, which means I can’t get my sunglasses case inside, nevertheless still useful to store my junk e.g. chewing gums and my wallet!

@creweaudiparts - so this was indeed the correct part number, for future enquiries.

Yes of course - it’s 8Y2863084a

My dealer quoted £36 but another dealer I quoted said £60 so I’d shop around before you order.

My part arrived today so many thanks to Tom @creweaudiparts .
Also thanks to thomaslewis for posting the info in the first place.
Easy to remove the old cover and pop in the wee glove box.
Luckily my Oakley sunglasses fit in it so result all round.

I don't think the factory nets can be retrofitted, it's a different seat or seat back
