Solar windscreen replacement

Looking for an advice.l on windscreen replacement

Member of Audi group inspired me some time ago with replacement of he's windscreen to a solar one. Would like to follow and do same as mine has loads of hairline scratches distorting vision.

Not a fan of chameleon tint as it is still a tint. Looks great but some create visible film fold signs and looks horrible.

Cannot find any car glass replacement company near Heathrow who would provide such glass.
Preferably mobile service but can travel few miles to get it done.

Can anyone recommend?

As far as I’m aware. The only option for the 8v was the 4GH Windscreen with grey tinted strip.

I'm in A6 C6 Avant and been told, them screens were factory option.

Awaiting for comeback from one company that order screens in from Europe

It could have something to do with the heads up display maybe? Not sure.
 
Correct wasn’t available on C6. I had a brochure somewhere and don’t recall seeing solar screen either. I’ll try and find it.
 
Think they did make a solar screen.
Rare thou.

I have the blue Chameleon tint on my front screen (A7)

It’s very subtle, and is only noticeable in certain lighting at certain angles.

And if applied correctly, you actually can’t tell that it’s an applied tint! :racer:

Was wondering how do they turn out nice and good on some cars but bad with visible lines on others.

Did yours tinted windscreen at some %?
Knowing my luck, will be pulled over in no time and after measuring, told to peel it off

You got a whole list of extrac for C6?
Something you've got with the car or bought?
Wonder what would my car costed back then with all blows and whistles I would want on it now

About 200 + vat.

Fitted a solar screen to e46 m3 last week, and a carbon roof skin!

Been quoted shy off £300 for green or clear one so anticipated cost about this amount
