nOx sensor location

Hi Forum,
Engine management light has come on today. Run Carista diagnosis, and I get P2200 error; which is nOx sensor related.
Does anyone know where the sensor is? Is it an easy replace diy job?

Hi,
Can anyone help here?
Further investigation and I’ve found this is the sensor that links in to the AdBlue system, and it’s in the exhaust system.
Interested to see if anyone else has encountered this.

The NOx sensor will be before your CAT in the exhaust system and usually as close to the engine as possible to obtain an accurate reading but some have two NOx sensors for much more accurate readings. From what I can find these are the NOx sensor locations for the A4 2L and 3L dervs so hopefully it helps. 2L and 3L sensor 1 can be done from the top but 3L sensor 2 is from the underside.

Wow, thank you. This is brilliant.
The code I have doesn’t specify a sensor 1 or 2. Do I assume that (coupled with your screenshots) that my 2L only has one sensor?

Correct, from what I found the 2L only has 1 NOx sensor.
