Interior design pack

Yeah, oh also the airbag cover but not the airbag itself. I’d like to have it done done before the car arrives so I can swap it over straight away.
OK I'll ping here next week once they are open. I need to shoot over there to collect a set of Vents for another member. Official RS3 8Y parts supplier me!!!!! :yahoo:

I am assuming you want the alcantara round wheel… just to be clear.

@Mastachaz @Detail Devil Are any of use able to check the part numbers between the RS3 and RSQ3 front and rear seats?

Im sure fronts would be the same but wonder if the rear bench would be too? Suppose front could vary to if they have memory seats or not, and if lumbar and electric ect. Be curious to know

If anyone is looking to upgrade to these here are the TSBs showing how to remove the side vents and the long passengers vent
That's really great, I thought that it would be significantly more difficult than this.

Now I'm just trying to decide if having the red vents but nothing else red on the inside would look silly or not...

Great info there :) The long vent says to remove trim panels either side of the vent, how easy/hard are they to remove?

Good question - I'd of thought its pretty straightforward, as they haven't given granular removal details. I'll see if i can get my son to ask his techs on this :)

If they're like many of the other panels in the doors and things it'll just require a calibrated pull at the right place. I'm hoping!

The HVAC unit on the 8V was similar in that you use a hook tool in a certain place to remove it.

Just got my son to have a look at there demo.
To get to the main vent, open passengers door, and there should be a small panel on side of dash that pops off, and then this will provide access to the long vent. Apparently same for all 8Y A3s and for A1s 2020 onwards.

Does the red trim part come off the vent as well? Just thinking if you could repaint it to another colour?

No its fixed. Also its a solid moulded Red plastic piece. I think painting or wrapping would ruin them, and for the sake of £205, and what looks like an easy retrofit IMO getting the OEM kit is a far better option :)

I did check and no way to remove it tbh :) also wrap or paint wont be easy and they are not expensive
